USB Bluetooth dongle support

Hello,

I bought a cheap USB Bluetooth stick to use with my N2 from ebay. Type: ORICO Mini Wireless Bluetooth 2.0 Adapter Dongle USB 2.0 CSR8510

However, CoreELEC 9.0.2 shows no Bluetooth adapter found. lsusb shows:
0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)

Any hope on getting this device supported?

That device should work just fine. I have one, and it’s got the same chipset as the one sold by Odroid themselves:

https://www.hardkernel.com/shop/bluetooth-module-2/

People seem to be having problems with BT on the 6/20 CoreELEC N2 nightly, but I would maybe check it on another system to see if it’s faulty.

I don’t think it’s the same.
The one sold by HardKernel is bluetooth 4.0 and the one described in the request is 2.0
By the way, I have dongle with the same chipset (dongle Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR mini) and it doesn’t work.
In windows 10 I had to install the bluesoleil’s driver.

If it’s truly the CSR8510 chipset, it should be Bluetooth 4.0, it should work. That said, there are unscrupulous vendors labelling their products as having a CSR8510 when in reality, they don’t.
