Vontar X4, NG vs NE and install to emmc

I just got a Vontar X4 and it’s now running the following from a USB stick

and everything works great including hdmi-cec, Wi-Fi and Dolby Atmos. As the USB gets hot, is a bit slow and I’ll never use Android, I’d like to use the emmc for coreelec.
I can find some older talks about NG and NE but can’t quite figure out what works or not with ceemmc.

  1. Is the dtb I’m running so far a “NE” version? And is it the right one to use?

  2. Do I use ceemmc - x? What option do I choose afterwards?

  3. Does ceemmc copy the running version from my USB stick to emmc or create a new install?
