I can’t see anything wrong with your system, are you able to do a fresh install on different media to see if you still have the issue?
this is a backup from my mecool k3 pro system that i installed on my wetek play 2.a fresh install has no problem with the remote.but i have too many addons and settings that i need to transfer over so a fresh install is not good for me.isnt there any way i can activate the remote with this setup?
Did you type remoteinfo before or after restoring your backup because from that log everything looks like it should be okay.

I think you have restored the mecool remote config and this needs removing but your log is not showing me anything.
Try this and then reboot.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but have a similar issue. I haven’t put any new configs or anythings. But i cannot get these to work.
My home button doesn’t do anything and some of the other buttons just show:

Same thing happens on start , text and keyconfig buttons
Try removing /storage/.kodi/userdata/Lircmap.xml and reboot
I have added that because I was having issues with the remote, I followed a thread over on libre where someone said that they added lircmap.xml which let them map it. I will remove it and it will go back to square one, the issue remains.
It has to be a configuration issue because those keys definitely work.
what can i do to completely reset all things related to remote without wiping the system clean
