Other’s will know better that me, but if the video is 25 or 30fps, 50 and 60Hz refresh is used. Why this is, I don’t know. As far as video judder, it’s only a problem when the TV refresh rate is not divisible by the video refresh rate evenly.
For example 24fps doesn’t divide evenly into 60Hz refresh, so a 3:2 pull down is required with judder as a potential side effect.
Maybe I’m wrong, but the video track information should show the original movie parameters. Additionally, frequency doubling is an additional option in the whitelist, if it is disabled then doubling should not take place. Here we have a strange situation: one operating system shows that the video track is 25fps and the other that it is 50fps. One decoder shows 1080i and the other 1080p (only in CE).
Is that on the left or right side of the PPI screen?
