Youtube addon 7.2.0.3 working on Libreelec 12.2.0 but not Coreelec 21.2

Youtube addon version 7.3 stopped working with error “UNKNOWN” when trying to play videos on youtube on coreelec 21.2. I had version 7.2 on my Libreelec 12.2.0 install and that still worked. I copied the 2 addon dirs over to my coreelec install and it still gave “unknown” error. That seemed very strange, but to be sure I then copied my entire .kodi directory over to coreelec and am still getting the error. Why?

I had the same problem on my Coreelec 21.2 system.

Try upgrading the youtube addon to v7.3.0+beta.4. It worked great for me.

Don’t forget to perform at least the first two steps of the setup wizard.

7.3.0+beta.4 same error (unknown). On reddit they said to go back to version 7.2 which works on libreelec, but not coreelec.

Maybe you have old versions in folder /storage/.kodi/addons/packages.

And older versions are here

Greetings,

Since we’re on the subject, let me add this.
Videos on YouTube stop automatically after a minute.
What could be causing this problem?
What’s the solution?

Best regards…

Did you uninstall 7.2.0.3 first?

No, I upgraded it. I can try uninstalling it. I’m assuming you don’t delete the stuff in the userdata folder though since the api keys are in there.

NOTE: Inputstreamadaptive just had an update and that fixed the issue.
