Just two caveat, My Gs king x sometimes crashes (will try& give logs later) but I use the Minix mostly so no major & can gui delay after stopping 3D be fixable?

@Portisch Thank you very much for making this happen. My kids love watching 3D movies and now thanks to you I can put them on my Unraid server. You don’t even care or believe in 3D but you still took your time to do this. I will now grow my collection because I don’t like having to use bluray disks. Please let me know how I can buy you a beer or two. Everyone should that uses 3D because without you this would not of been possible.

New nightly CE-21 Amlogic-ne 20240727 on SoC SC2 (S905X4) should also now support 3D. If you get strange colours with MVC media please start/stop one time any H264 media file. Looks like a register must be cleared by the decoder first.
SoC like T7, S4 and S5 aren’t supported yet as they use the new hdmitx21 driver.

Been following this thread with interest, and am super excited to see 3D added as a feature. I have the latest nightly build, but when I try to play a 3D MVC file it just goes to a blue screen. Is there a toggle in the settings that I need to switch? Thanks!
I have tested 3D with today’s nightly “CoreELEC-Amlogic-ne.aarch64-21.1-Omega_nightly_20240727” in the homatics r 4k plus, and it works perfectly.

When you play a MVC file right after boot the colours are correct? Here I need to play one h264 media before it works correct.
Yes, the colors are correct on 3 MVC i have tested.
I have repeated the test also from a cold start and the colors are correct always. on MVC files.

CE-22, Amlogic-ne and Amlogic-no should support also 3D with new nightly 20240730.
Except: MVC frame packaging SoC with hdmitx21 driver. These are T7, S4 and S5 SoC. Like as example Amlogic-no and G12B, Odroid N2+ does work fine.
The other modes (F)SBS and (F)TAB are working fine on all SoC.
I am not sure if this hdmitx21 issue will be solved one day or not.
Maybe a new (4k) 3D media format do arrive earlier…

Great that 3D will be supported on AmLogic-NE & -NO. But, not until there’s a dovi.ko to also be able to have dual-layer, player-led DV right for S922X or another SoC right? Or, am I confused on this? Very possible

S5 is S928X, it’s missing in the wiki.
Afaik dovi.ko is available for -NE, but not for -NO
