Hey Guys!
So i just made an install on my SD card the CoreELEC (https://relkai.coreelec.org/Amlogic-ne/ce-21/CoreELEC-Amlogic-ne.aarch64-21.2-Omega_nightly_20250726-Generic.img.gz ). It’s a fully fresh install.
When i do set GUI resolution on 4K it appears like that (as you can see on top left corner of the TV). Is there any correct way to fix it?
I was trying to follow such guides:
If I have done a calibration already - how can I get rid of it without a new install? Edit guisettings.xml? Which keys have to be removed or modified?
I took my vim 3 on a trip with me and the tv I used it on was only 1080 so I changed the resolution and whitelist to match, now I’m home I’ve tried to set it back to 4k and I’ve removed all whitelist settings but whenever I set display resolution to 4k my screen is zoomed into the top left corner.
Anybody able to help me fix it?
I’ve already tried a update from stable to latest nightly
If you have the GUI set to 3840 x 2160 and after an update you are having a problem where the GUI seems like it is zoomed in on the top corner of the screen or the GUI doesn’t fill the whole screen. This is likely because you have adjusted the video calibration setting in settings > system > display at some point in time, and the settings saved by doing so is confusing the new version of CoreELEC into thinking your screen is a different size then it is.
While it is possible to fix this by editi…
However - no luck.
Use CE-NO or stop kodi and remove guisettings
xml.
Thanks for your reply. I need DV support; I’m using a Ugoos AM8 Pro. Removing guisettings.xml does not resolve the issue, despite me following the three posts mentioned.
NO (version 22) will not work with the added dovi.ko, so that is not a solution for me.
Seems i need to use Homatics Box R 4K Plus - #5462 by hungphutho , however not yet tested from my end.
Can confirm, mentioned file works.
Because you did not stop Kodi before?
Otherwise old XML is restored on reboot.
Of course i did? I mentioned it’s a clean install.
The quarter GUI only is about wrong values about video calibration in guisettings.xml.
So if probably deleted it would fix the GUI.
Solution: use CE-NO what do it fix by itself without any user interaction need.
