9.2.6 Discussion

The problem will be in the KODI. I tried to install KODI 18.9 and 19 - only 1 item is displayed in the whitelist (1920/1080).

sorry, i cant give you more information about the errors i get, went back to 9.2.5 - girlfriend can’t accept more testing / crashing system and so on.
thats also the reason i was not using nightlys - sorry for that guys.

Let’s try some troubleshooting! Here is some 9.2.6 logs:
from GUI (before crash): http://ix.io/2QUq
After crash:
dmesg: http://ix.io/2QUr
ce-debug: http://ix.io/2QUs
kodi.log: http://ix.io/2QUt
journalctl -a: http://ix.io/2QUu
smb.conf: http://ix.io/2QUw

9.2.5 (no crash)
from GUI: http://ix.io/2QUy
dmesg: http://ix.io/2QUz

I’d really love to be able to keep my config as I’ve spent a lot of time on it. If you need anything else, just ask!

ok seems the cec problem is solved but i have now playback problems

i have openmediavault server with nfs shares, they are auto mounted in to the storage videos, episodes folder.

first is couldn’t play this: http://users.atw.hu/uvbull/sadu-final.destination.mkv.txt

had to make an restart after that i could play: http://users.atw.hu/uvbull/upgrade.rn.720p-no1.mkv.txt

tried playing this: http://users.atw.hu/uvbull/Underwater.2020.720p.BluRay.DD5.1.x264.HuN-UnDeRwAtEr.mkv.txt
it plays 3-5 sec than picture freeze with no sound, can’t go back to menu, have a log made over ssh:

http://ix.io/2QUp

after restart it plays the movie

First that I see:
in Settings/Player/Videos you should switch off Sync playback to Display

@pepek33, you can try to experiment with advancedsettings.xml values if you use whitelist.
Don’t know if it works, it’s kodi feature

Thanks. I’ll read it .

Thanks a lot, it worked! I hope it could help other with the same kind of issue!

Using 9.2.6 on Odroid C2, when playing any of my TV recordings audio suddenly disappeared and video eventually froze. After that, Core Elec seemed to crash (no UI response at all) and had no other option but to power cycle my board. As @boot2k3 suggested, switching off Sync playback to Display seemed to fix my issues for now.

Same HDMI-CEC issue in my MagicSee N5 (Amlogic S905X2 rev b). Downgrading to 9.2.5 and upgrading to 9.2.6 just after solves the issue.

Sync playback to Display
Was never supported. That was a reason why it was hidden before and removed by commits. It causes problems beyond repair and there are still users in this forum requesting it.

Am I ignored with this question, or there’s just no competent member around, or did it just miss their attention? (Hope it won’t this time…)

Just a mention, my previous post (GXBB issues with newer ffmpeg for some online streams source) shouldnt be related to Sync to playback… I didnt use that feature, since it was marked as non-working in CE long time ago…

is .dtb img file sm1_s905x3_4g different from 9.2.5 to 9.2.6 for the T95MaxPlus box ?
Thanks

I tried to upgrade again MagicSee N5 (Amlogic S905X2 rev b) and still no CEC working with Panasonic TV. Works perfectly in 9.2.5. I just let it upgrade on its own. Do I have to update another way ?

@Mount3r, answer on you question was earlier:

  1. Update.
  2. Replace dtb with correct one with any way you know. 2nd method is via ssh, but it’s more easy to do it on PC.

Do I have to update my dtb file from 9.2.5 to 9.2.6 for T95Max Plus S905X3 too ?

dtb will update automatically with CE update.
You don’t need to do something special

cool thanks!
