Minix U1, upgraded from 9.2.5 to 9.2.6 and audio freezes after like 3 seconds, then video freeze and then GUI unresponsive until reboot via SSH or by pulling power cable.
Downgraded to 9.2.5 and everything is working again.
Freeze happens when playing video from USB attached harddisk or network. Tested a number of different types and sizes of video, same result each time. After 15 reboots I just wanted to watch a movie so I stopped trying to see what’s wrong.
Please create a backup by CE settings when running 9.2.6 and share it by private message to one CE team member. It have to be something in the device config what causes this issue.
A clean install will solve the issue, no need to downgrade to 9.2.5 again.
registered this account just to let y’all know that the bluetooth auto connect feature is a great enhancement. taking off that additional few pages of clicking through and connecting to bluetooth headphones is really nice.
sorry, i cant give you more information about the errors i get, went back to 9.2.5 - girlfriend can’t accept more testing / crashing system and so on.
thats also the reason i was not using nightlys - sorry for that guys.
Using 9.2.6 on Odroid C2, when playing any of my TV recordings audio suddenly disappeared and video eventually froze. After that, Core Elec seemed to crash (no UI response at all) and had no other option but to power cycle my board. As @boot2k3 suggested, switching off Sync playback to Display seemed to fix my issues for now.
Sync playback to Display
Was never supported. That was a reason why it was hidden before and removed by commits. It causes problems beyond repair and there are still users in this forum requesting it.
Just a mention, my previous post (GXBB issues with newer ffmpeg for some online streams source) shouldnt be related to Sync to playback… I didnt use that feature, since it was marked as non-working in CE long time ago…
I tried to upgrade again MagicSee N5 (Amlogic S905X2 rev b) and still no CEC working with Panasonic TV. Works perfectly in 9.2.5. I just let it upgrade on its own. Do I have to update another way ?
