Can you make a screenshot of the golden (warm) picture ?

You mean ā€œVisionā€ effect instead of ā€œAtmosā€, you are talking about sound or video ?

Beter properly adjust/calibrate your TV for DV picture; reinstall cannot fix ā€œwarmā€ picture.

For me I prefer the new build (CE 22 -NO) because it gives me 10-bit RGB colors & with Dolby Vision

I’m not interested FEL

Previous build plays on 12 bit 444, I noticed NO output 10 bit. Do you not think 12 bit is better? As my UHD player also output 12 bit?

i think 444@12 In formats other than Dolby Vision?

I don’t really know which one is better in terms of detail clarity and correct color depth without exaggeration. However, the Auto mode makes the system choose the best one without exaggerating the colors.

Yes, HDR and SDR playing 444 12 bit in NG and 10 bit on NO . DV standard mode is 8 bit. Why is there such change?

Nice!!

TV LED setting should yield 8 bit RGB

Player LED setting should yield 12 bit YUV 422

What is playing back in 10 bit RGB?

for me

TV-LED:

RGB-10-bit for only DV

444-10-bit for other SDR & HDR

I forgot this is Ugoos thread,Iam testing NO on X96X10 Pro S928X-J cpu, with tone mapping enabled VS Engine

My Ugoos is still on EOL CE-NG, I’ll prep a SD card and test NO on Ugoos Am6b Plus

Too warm and too saturated colors

Have installed CoreELEC NO to internal on UGOOS Am6b Plus, latest nightly 10/14

Hmmmmmm, TV LED set ,tone mapping enabled VS Engine SDR/HDR to Dolby Vision, exactly same as X96X10 PRO

Most Dolby Vision playback as 8 bit RGB

UGOOS can’t playback AV1, or Profile 10 Dolby Vision, plays as SDR 10 bit YUV 444…

Also no VC-1 playback…..

X96X10 Pro with S928X-J SoC no issues…

Maybe us conflict with .ko file and the S922X-J SoC.

I don’t know, but I used it this dovi.ko (429.9 KB)

May be you are right. one more issue. Everytime I switch on ugoos AM6b plus. Picture quality is different. Almost 3rd power play back is better and than every power cycle it starts getting worse.
What picture quality have you noticed between them? which one is handling better? 928 or 922 soc

The 928 is Flawless on NO

I,ll do more tests later on the Ugoos Am6b, all test were over SMB share ,so maybe local playback will yield different results

I use external HDD connected with USB, What issues do you face in Am6b? Picture quality different after power cycle. Mostly black colors effect sometimes it turned out to be grey or crushed in NG and NO 1010.

So far best Coreelec Build ever 20251014 . sometimes freeze when connecting 2nd external HDD .

No issues with Ugoos Am6b Plus, is excellent machine!!!

I have 3 machine to test Dolby Vision, G1, Ugoos, X96X10 PRO.

Just wanted to test NO ,Iam going back to EOL CE-NG 4.9 kernel, that what this box is bought for FEL playback

I have been having issues with the NG build. The picture quality and playback in both Dolby Vision and HDR are not very good. However, the NO build works much better for me. Dolby Vision playback has improved significantly, but HDR has not improved as much.

I think there is one main problem. When I power on the Ugoos in CoreELEC, it seems to struggle with the HDMI color range (between limited and full), which I believe causes most of the playback issues.

What difference have you seen in picture quality between? No and ng

User error.

The hdr10 and the Dolby Vision quality same (without p7 fel).

Your tv settings not good then.
