Never blamed the CE Team, Amlogic is to blame as they only care about the Android side. Case in point, they dont even release a linux driver for their own Wifi+BT chip AML-W1. Thanks to CE team atleast WiFI works on the X96Max+ Ultra.
CE-NE would have been a viable option, but you yourself have mentioned that CE22 would be NO only and S905X4 devices must use NO only
So stuck between a rock and a hardplace. Kodi 20 was pure garbage and should have never been released, Kodi 21 is bearable at best and Kodi 22 is chef’s kiss. It would be amazing if CE22-NE was ever released after Kodi22.0 is released, one can only hope
