I don’t trust GPT. 50% chance it will hallucinate and suggest some bs. I’d rather get advice from a person who actually knows what to do.
Pls read the forum.
Your question was answered many times
I see there are still issues with the kodi screenshot.
I will need to rework this all again…
Is there any issue with video buffer and cache for DV in MP4 container?, it fills up and suddenly goes down to 0%
Tested with SC2, latest nightly CE-NO
Everything else works perfectly fine
am6b NG
SK1 NO
Didn’t checked it for a long time now..
Converted all those mp4 to mkv…
Have you tried NG?
Hey guys, I just installed the latest NO nightly on internal storage on my Ugoos SK1. I’ve noticed that widget navigation when using jurialmunkey themes feels quite slow. I remember it being much faster on CoreELEC-NE or even Kodi on the android side
Is this a known/ongoing issue, or should I provide logs to help troubleshoot?
Thanks!
Yes, but this is not suprise.
The Arctic skins designed to using kodi 21.
Not improved to use 22, and not to one alpha version.
The skin can run, but it’s not working good.
The CE devs cannot do anything for that.
As frodo19 posted
Use CoreELEC default Estuary Skin on NO
Also there is a arctic-zephyr.martian being worked on/soon will be working in Piers
That was arnd 08/30 was posted Kodi Forum
Ah i see, thanks for letting me know ![]()
Quick question on build framework: Is Ubuntu 20.04 still the recommended version and valid for building CoreELEC (CE-no or coreelec-22) as per the wiki?
No, use Ubuntu 24 LTS.
Many thanks for the prompt reply..I was getting some build errors and thought this might be a possible reason.
I’m using an X96 X10 running CE Nightly.
I’ve noticed that 1080p x265 movies from a particular release group are dropping frames and playing choppy.
I’ve cut out a 20 second clip using ffmpeg that exhibits the problem but not sure how best to share it.
There’s no messages that look bad in the log that I can see when it’s playing, but it plays choppy.
Playing the same clip with vlc on my PC is smooth.
How should I report the problem, or do the devs already know about it?
I didn’t see an “Issues” link on the CoreElec github.
Is it possible to access the older NO nightly builds from the last few weeks? Recently this month I noticed HDR is no longer working (very distorted picture), it would be good to go back and try to pinpoint which build broke it. If not possible I’ll do logs when I’m next home. I am using Odroid N2 (2GB version) by the way.
Thanks. I have deduced;
20250910 HDR WORKS
20250911 (no build)
20250912 (no build)
20250913 HDR BROKEN changelog
Logs tomorrow.
I did more test with latest CE-NO.
turned out only DV-P5 in MP4 container is the problematic format. Cache stuck at 0%
x88 pro x5m (s905x5m)
HDMI CEC stopped working a few builds ago (I think it was 20250919 or 20). Was briefly fixed in the 20250924 build, but is not working again in 20250925. Or rather, half-working. Turning off the TV turns off the box, but turning the TV on doesn’t wake the box. Powering on from the remote doesn’t work either, so the only solution is a power cycle.
On a side note, is there a way to ignore a specific build without completely turning off the auto update?
In CE settings I set my update to notify me. It only downloads then if I click ok when notifications come. To ignore a build I just don’t hit ok. You can do that each time. If I want one specifically I just manually download from https://archive.coreelec.org/
Do you use CEC? I stopped using it as I now leave my CE box on and route everything thru my receiver amp. You could try disabling and reenabling CE in Kodi settings and on your TV if you use it.
