Nightly 20251016 is removed. It include a imputstream addon version bump and we are not sure how to solve it. When Kodi just crash on start the addon can not be updated.

Just updated to 20251016 and no crash. Only Kodi says some addons are incompatible.
For those where kodi does crash: what addons are installed like inputstream, pvr, …?

I cut 15 seconds from a video that plays choppy on my X96 X10, now on 20251014.
Does it play choppy for others?
In vlc on my PC, playback is smooth. I have many x265 1080p videos like this that all play choppy.
Sample video plays normally with Ugoos SK1
I tried it with Beelink A311D2, it works fine.
Bootloop on today’s nightly as well on Vontar X4 (sc2 s905x4) Using Inputstream adaptive, inputstream ffmpeg direct and rtmp input addons for use with IPTV Simple Client. Reverted to 20251014 for now. Cheers!

I’m quite sensitive to dropped frames.
I still wonder if other devices with S928X-J like my X96 X10 can play it properly. S928X-J looks very similar in specs to your S928X-K in the Ugoos SK1 however.
It’s just weird that the box plays 2160p DV x265 perfectly, and supposedly can play 8k60fps!! But is choking on these fairly low bitrate videos using the same codec.
Unfortunately I have a lot of these exact files…
Tested on both Homatics box r 4k plus and Ugoos X4Q extra and it plays choppy.

I wonder, @Portisch or @vpeter , would this be fixable by Coreelec, or is the x265 decoding a function of the chipset and thus unfixable??
Could you add a slightly longer video?
I tested it with the X96 M200 and there are minor freezes.
Issue was about S905X4, SC2.
Should be working normal again tomorrow.
Not sure about inputstream adaptive but it should be also updated tomorrow.

I went to test pvr.nextpvr but there is no 1016 build on relkai. Also inputstream.ffmpeg is not showing at all in the addon list but it is here CoreELEC nightly builds I know the 22.1.3.1 was crashing in LE and CE so I might try a manual install
Tommorow all be back to normal and addons will be available.

There are no crashes on my devices, only plugin incompatibility.

Tested on X96X10 Pro
With Tone mapping set SDR to Dolby Vision. hard to tell with such a short sample…30 secs ,or longer would be better
Of course at start jumps..
Wont play smooth on my win pc. but plays ok on my Tox3 S905x4
