32 GB SD card becomes fat32 after formatting.
64 GB Sd card becomes exFAT after formatting.
I think it’s the SD card’s file system.
“Canvas Go! Plus 64GB microSD memory card, SDCG3/64GB, 170MB/s - 70MB/s”
Not:No boot problem with another 64GB SD card with low read write speed.
Works smoothly with NG and NE installations.
For me, VIM4 works only with SanDisk uSD card’s. With other brands card’s and SSD’s there is corruption in read/write operations for some reason!? Maybe bug in Amlogic firmware or in Khadas layer. My card for CoreELEC is 64GB and can’t boot with NO builds for now. NE stable build can be booted on the same card with no problem. Maybe in NE has some fix integrated that doesn’t present in the NO nightly version?
As I said already there is another, preferred new kernel in background. But it’s not yet ready. Maybe this issue get solved then by itself after update.
But I have no time schedule yet when the update will happen.

WIFI Stops working and will not reconnect till it is rebooted.
UART log?
Today I tried CE no. with GT King Pro. SD card formatting extFAT
With the same 64 GB SD card, CE no GT King Pro is installed without any problems.
What part of the Logs do you need, I can not put the whole dmesg in a Message because it has to many lines

2024-01-** nightly ODroid N2+ None of the January Builds has support for 1Gbps and only connects at 100mb via ethernet.
nightly builds on Khadas vim3 2gb boards go into a Boot Loop
2024-01-** builds on a Khadas vim3l boot loop
ethtool reports:
Speed: 1000Mb/s

Check cable/router/switch
Reverting back to a December build of the dtb boots up at 1Gbps, Cat 6 New Cable, Linksys SE3008V2 switch which works fine with everything else.
it is the Linksys SE3008V2 switch that it is not liking I connected the ethernet cable to the Router
Asus RT-AC5300 and it comes up at 1Gbps/Full.
Well after some other tests I have determined that the dtb file is the issue for the N2+
I tested a S905X4 X96 on ethernet and it comes up as 1Gbps/Full on the Linksys Switch
So I believe that the Switch is fine it is Software Related.
Jan 03 DTB seems to be the only one that works for my 905x3.
Saved it and put in in 0125 and it loads.
Please upload the working DTB so I can directly compare.
Can you upload this build, because it lost into repo
Default remote keys works correctly for me too. Wish I could use it on other builds
dtb.img (71.6 KB)
Edit: Wont reboot after a restart?
Did 1st time, but lost all my settings.
2nd time not
Will re burn the sd card.
Trying CoreELEC-Amlogic-no.aarch64-21.0-Omega_nightly_20240125-Generic.img.gz on my Vontar X4 905x4 box.
Flashed the image to uSD card and inserted it directly: boot yielded a black screen with ‘Cannot mount volume COREELEC’ msg. Reflashed the image with same effect.
Then I put the uSD card in a USB reader and connected that. It now booted and went through the resizing operation. Rebooted and everything came up fine.
Shut down and took the uSD card out and inserted it directly - now the volume is recognized and the system boots.
So … it looks like something in the base image partition map is getting fixed by the resizing operation. Though that’s just a guess (maybe something to do with the card reader in this model?). But if you aren’t getting a nightly image to boot directly off the card then it’s worth trying it through a USB card reader.
Hey bazzle,
i have also problems booting a 905x3 box (X96Max+) with new NO release.
Once i saw the New Order boot logo, but the box has not booted up with NO, just a notice that something was installed and a reboot is needed, but after that nothing booted.
Since that i was never able to boot to the NO boot logo again.
I did a reset of the android system to factory default and tried again, but no chance to get that NO boot logo again.
I tried these dtb files:
sm1_s905x3_4g_1gbit.dtb
sm1_s905x3_4g.dtb
Seems this new NO dtb files are very particular when they boot and when not.
With NG 20.3 i have no problems at all to boot, mostly first try it works.
NG 20.3 this dtb works for me:
sm1_s905x3_4g_1gbit.dtb
