uhd bluray movies use up to 128Mbps bitrate so gigabit is necessary to play all of them smoothly via ethernet.

In theory. Never seen anything close to it.
But I agree 100 Mbps is not enough.

Does anybody know if this X96 has an ON/OFF switch? Or it can only be switched on and off via remote control?

That question is more complicated to answer than a simple yes or no.

We want to support all devices and we will eventually but right now only the KVIM3L is supported for technical reasons.

HK1 X3 box has gigabit ethernet, costs just £29 delivered!!!

I really hope support for this box is added as it is so cheap.

X96 MAX+ is LPDDR3, as same as the most of others s905x3, because them are too cheap…

Yes, works the same as in all the other SoCs.

We will be using a different kernel, so the tone mapping may be different, but it may be the same.

Today I saw the seller of taobao CHANGED the X96 MAX+ memory specification from LPDDR4 to LPDDR3, it seems the X96 max+ is t be a pity yet.
I can’t know how to get the memory informations of my box. sorry.

It’s going to be based on stock Amlogic Android kernel.
