Amlogic S928X

Yep, otherwise why waste time.

Because I donā€™t have AVR
On AM8 still not fixed I canā€™t play DTS-HD and true-HD from my TV

I donā€™t know if the team gives importance to this category for those who donā€™t have AVR ?

I installed today latest nightly on Ugoos AM8. None of the 4k content I tried is working (HDR, HDR+, DV expecting to be played as HDR). Screen just turns off. I have AM8 connected to Denon AVR-X2700H over HDMI and then AVR is connected to TV. From Android this all works fine inside Kodi. Passthrough audio seems to work fine (DTS HD MA 5.1 and True-HD 7.1).

No log, no problemā€¦

HDMI signal over AVR is known to not work properly in every second case of setup. Connect direct to TV and use ARC.

Iā€™d recommend getting a hdmi splitter for now, send one signal to tv for dv/hdr - second hdmi to ur avr,you can get them for Ā£20

Setup works (and has been working for past several months) fine when I boot Android (I have everything at latest release). Iā€™ll try to get that log today.

Here are logs, video file is THX Deep Note Genesis.4K.mkv

Just starting with my new X96X10 PRO !!!
I did go for the 8/64 was only $20 more.

Before you wrote to internal CoreELEC

Do you remember the Android Firmware revision/date?
Was there an OTA update since you purchase?

After the Kinhank Fiasco with my box Iam most reluctant to even Navigate Android system/settings !!!

Android version i have is from May of 2024

Why? If you cannot on your router limit download speed to 1-2 Mbits, then you can just disconnect it from internet and explore Android without any risk or fear.

Thanks

All is good!!!

Whatā€™s confusing is whether my 4GB/32GB X96 X10 has the ā€˜Jā€™ chip? If not, DV shouldnā€™t exist right under stock Android, nor CE? And, yet it does.

A DV module is loading in CE? lsmod | grep dovi

If so did you add it, or is it included in the Android firmware?

Box is less than 48 hrs up n running CoreELEC
No need to mess with Android yet !!!

Did you try the files which were failing for @hdmkv in his video in coreelec?

When I first got the box and went into the stock Android OS, DV was showing in the settings, and playing a DV clip triggered DV on my TV.

Then, after booting into CE, DV options showed up under Settings. And, even more remarkably, after I did installtointernal to eMMC, wiping out the Android OS, itā€™s still thereā€¦

My guess is that the x96 x10 and x10 Pro use the same Android firmware, so thereā€™s a dovi.ko present, and thatā€™s being automatically loaded from CE. CE looks for and loads the Android dovi.ko by default.

Have you opened up the box and checked the SOC to see if itā€™s marked with a -J/K
