It all depends on your needs/wants.
Many users like the option of the best of both worlds
ATV and CoreELEC in a dual boot
So can enjoy Certified Netflix/Amazon /Disney/etc…
On Android
Then for Media Playback
Switch to CoreELEC!!!

Don’t think it supports FEL does it? I thought it plays P7 FEL files but without the enhancement layer

It’s in the list of supported s905x4 devices than can playback FEL in CoreELEC.

Hi, what advantages do boxes with s928 have on coreelec? example: ugoos SK1. Is there any point in buying them rather than much cheaper devices?
Example: Ugoos SK1 comes with S928X-K and Widewine L1 Support.
The -K part has something to do with the licenses like @YadaYada already said here Homatics Box R 4K Plus - #5392 by YadaYada
The SK1 also have “Widewine L1 Support” that only on the android side, as far as I know, it’s not used in CE.
Guess it depends, if you need the android side for something it might be interesting.
If you only want to run Coreelec on an S928X device, something like the “X96 x10” also will do just fine. (without any compromiese in the audio department since in CE the DD, DD+, DTS licensing doesn’t matter. )

Hi all, is there any recent and confirmed update about various Amlogic SOCs like S922, S905X4 etc. being able to handle true TV Led DV either in the latest ATV firmware ATV12,14 etc or in CE-NG? I have read post from early to mid 2024 where folks tested the output using HDfury and confirmed that TV Led was actually fake with static RPU mimicking LLDV signal. But since then havent seen more news or tests with recent ATV or CE firmwares if this bug was addressed.
You obviously haven’t read enough 
since in CE correct TV Led works without any problem on S922 & S904X4 DV certified SoCs on most recent DV TV/displays for a long time. In ATV 12, 14 proper TV Led also works on here mentioned devices. Of course any Dolby Vision TV/display with working TV Led option is needed for full functionality.

So this means that if you choose ‘Display led’ in CE DV settings or you choose ‘Sink led’ in ATV 12/14 display settings, you are getting true 8 bit RGB tunneling and if you TV displays the correct image, your TV is capable of true TV led DV processing.
I am planning to purchase the Dune HD Homatics Box R 4K Plus Android TV Box for use with both Android TV and CoreELEC to run Dolby FEL. I would like to know if there are any known software or hardware issues when running CoreELEC on this device.
Aside from the slow boot-up time, does CoreELEC on the Dune HD Homatics Box R 4K Plus fully support Dolby FEL without any limitations? Additionally, do fast forward and resume functions work properly?
Lastly, can CoreELEC be booted from a USB 3.1 Gen drive when connected to a USB 2.0 port on the Dune? I intend to use the USB 3.0 port for connecting an external HDD.

Yes CoreElec NG support that. Atv not support p7 fel, equal what lie the dune support. USB 3 or 2 both can use to boot to CE. Not seen any big issue in pause or ff.

CMv2.9/CMv4.0 RPU metadata as true tv-led (TV permitting)? or its only The Ugoos AM6B+ which support it ?
