So, i hope it will be helpfull.

@mhbosch Does your TV support HDR?

No, i think the TV doesnt support HDR.

Same problem here with black screen on 8.95.4.1 everything was fine on 8.95
4 using:
H96 PRO+ Plus 3/32 (S912) + 4K TV with HDR. Kodi was set to 4k resolution
I downgraded it to 8.95.4 and everything is working now.

If you want me to replicate the black screen again and need some log just let me know what do you need then I’ll send you.

Result from Update 8.95.4.1 :frowning:
S905X Logo -> CoreElec Logo -> Caos (image)

At the 8.95.4 i have NO problems. What now?

Bqeel m9c max S905X 2GB RAM, coreelec on NAND, no log because its brick/not work

TV JTC Genesis 55z UHD 2160p

24 posts were split to a new topic: Green screen 8.95.4.1

Since the auto update to this version I have a black screen. I have a Denon XR2100W that the signal is sent through to my Samsung 50 (don’t remember model).

A few extra questions to help figure this out.

do the people having this problem have any settings in a /storage/.config/autostart.sh file?

also what is the contents of /sys/devices/virtual/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/config

and contents of /sys/devices/virtual/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/disp_cap

and /storage/.kodi/userdata/disp_cap

I’m on windows 10. I don’t see the device on the network (haven’t looked before). Do I need putty? Has it booted but just isn’t rendering. I’ll try and get my info if I can connect.

yes it has booted, but is not displaying an image. and putty would be required to connect over ssh.

to ssh into the device you need to know it’s ip address, or corelec.local might also work as an address to connect to. if you didn’t change the hostname when you set the device up.

login: root
password: coreelec

(password might be libreelec if you have upgraded to coreelec from libreelec at some point in the past without doing a fresh install)

then once you have a command prompt, type

cat /storage/.config/autostart.sh
cat /sys/devices/virtual/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/config
cat /sys/devices/virtual/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/disp_cap
cat /storage/.kodi/userdata/disp_cap

will show the contents of those 4 files. then just cut and paste the results from the putty window and post here.

@RAD I don’t have a copy of 8.95.4 for the S912, it’s possible another dev does.
I do have a test image for the s912 that you could try, that might fix the black screen for you.
if you are interested/
