BT earbud connection issue

Yes.

Anyway thank you for your time and help …

I’m disappointed

I was hoping to fix and operate my earpieces … 8-((

it is very frustrating

Don’t give up on a fix just yet as others may have useful advice.

To rule out an add-on as a possible problem it is also useful to do a fresh install to a card with the version that you are using and attempting to recreate the problem before adding anything.

The only change I did who would coincide with this new BT issue would be the new skin estuaridya (to see the SoC CPU %) There were also many updates of some IPTV / TV LIVE Kodi supplements but I do not see how it could interfere with the BT …

But there lies the value of a fresh set-up to completely eliminate changes and even if we, users do not see a reason for something not to work, a dev, with their greater knowledge and understanding, might do.

Unfortunately I don’t have time to play the mechanics to dismantle all the vehicle change the motor reset wheel after wheel to see which wheel is defective … lol … Yes it is a long-term work which need time to do to try you have to be attentive and during this time the system is out of order
In other hands I use everything that is currently installed (very little in reality only IPTV, Estuaridya, and LIVE TV) and I can not delete it if this is the cause of the problem so it’s useless to check about that I think.
May be a corrupted file but which one, this is the point. If any dev have any clue Welcome !

Hi all
T95 Max + 4/32 CE 9.2 nightly / Matrix nightly and Rc2
I just buy this Umidigi Earbuds (https://community.umidigi.com/portal.php?mod=view&aid=510 ) and I can connect them to 9.2 CE ng or Matrix. I see them “connected” in CE when I power them but I have no sound and I have to disconnect and reconnect them in CE BT profile first before to get “really” connected where Its supposed to be connected automatically …

I have to do this before to use this BT earbuds and each time I want to use it.

I have to do this with another earbud which work good before too…

I tried to delete them in CE BT profile with a reboot and enable them but its the same…

I want to be clear as I can I see My BT get connected in CE BT device list when I power my earbud but I get no sound I have to disconnect and reconnect manually in CE device list to get sound.

There is my log 9.2 http://ix.io/3rVp
Matrix nightly http://ix.io/3sTF

I’m looking to do a full RESET of the CE config BT file but I don’t know where its located and I would’nt reinstall full fresh build to retrieve the BT use its too frustrating…

So any clue welcome !

Thx

Please try to don’t scatter the same .issue through various topics. BT is completely dependant of what you connect to it. We’ll check what’s happening in this case.

Ok sorry
Thanks 8-))

I have 3 different earbuds bt and none function now. Everything worked well a month ago and trying this new BT headset I am caught that nothing work now. There have been some updates of Kodi supplements like InputHelper or IPTV but excepted Estuaridya I have almost nothing installed …

I do not know if it can be useful but the only way to have sound with My HDTV (HDMI) is with the Alsa HDMI multi ch out or default HDMI

This morning I tried the setting of Vevs (bt-audio-switch.sh) and I got the same issue with no BT sound but when I power off my BT earbuds it switched me on default ALSA:hdmi:CARD=AMLM8AUDIO,DEV=0 and I have no sound. I have to reselect HDMI out in kodi sound setting to retrieve it

I will try with Matrix nightly build when I have time to do but I’m pretty sure that in 1/2 months its the same issue this is why I want to know whats happens here and why

I am little deaf and hard of hearing people I need this BT functional … So I will really appreciate help about this issue to reset or anything else …
Please H.E.L.P

I do not understand very well this line :
Jul 12 19:24:48 CoreELEC systemd-udevd[17910]: Process ‘/bin/sh /storage/.config/udev.rules.d/bt-audio-switch.sh’ failed with exit code 2.

in my log file http://ix.io/3sNU

This is maybe your fault. The audio switcher addon is long time not compatible anymore. CE-19 do have all support already included.

I deleted the audio switcher there is month ago before to go with 9.2.7 and nightly … strange…

I did a full reboot today and there is the new log http://ix.io/3sR3 and I get this too

Jul 13 09:41:02 CoreELEC pulseaudio[3497]: W: [pulseaudio] main.c: Running in system mode, but --disallow-module-loading not set.
Jul 13 09:41:02 CoreELEC pulseaudio[3497]: W: [pulseaudio] main.c: Home directory of user ‘root’ is not ‘/var/run/pulse’, ignoring.
Jul 13 09:41:02 CoreELEC pulseaudio[3497]: W: [pulseaudio] caps.c: Normally all extra capabilities would be dropped now, but that’s impossible because PulseAudio was built without capabilities support.
Jul 13 09:41:02 CoreELEC pulseaudio[3497]: W: [pulseaudio] main.c: OK, so you are running PA in system mode. Please make sure that you actually do want to do that.

in new log fresh from today (full system restarted) http://ix.io/3sR3 the line about switcher is no longer here … but BT still do not work…

I mean when I used the audio switcher from vevs I just put 2 files in udev.rules.d (bluetooth-event.rules and bt-audio-switch.sh ) but I deleted this two files there is two months ago … !!!

I did the update to 9.2.7 and nightly and BT work very well for 2 months … suddenly it broke I think
There is conflict somewhere

Here is my last log http://ix.io/3sRH

audio switcher is no longer here … there is some about bluetooth but still not work

The files was renamed 000bluetooth-event.rules and 000bt-audio-switch.sh

I just full deleted this files instead to rename it but I get the same BT issue

I just install FRESH Matrix nightly and I get the SAME ISSUE !!! See log here :

I use the dtb for T95Max+ but it may be corrupted (sm1_s905x3_4g) ???

I’m lost

If I read the log correctly, it seems that you may have the ALSA audio device as the default in Kodi.

In System, Audio, set the Audio Output Device to Pulseaudio Bluetooth and see what happens.

Yes easy = No Sound ! No TV sound No BT sound !!!

In same time I try some “true” BT device (plantronics backbeat fit) and once paired it work … automaticaly connect… disconnect…reconnect …disconnect… no problem at all

But the two other earbuds I spoke in this thread do not… Its “Phone” earbuds. I use it before with CE 9.2.5 there is few months ago but they do not work anymore… I see it but I have to connect manually …) this is bad !

OK, so by the testing of the Plantronics headset, we clarify that the general bluetooth functionality of CE works as intended.

Which enables more focus in these specific earbuds.

If you connect them to a Windows PC, do they work as expected?
