Great splashscreen.
I have an Odroid n2 with MCE remote control and a problem to wake up the device. Coreelec installed on eMMC. Entered codes obtained with the command ir-keytable -u
remotewakeup=‘0x800f040c’
decode_type=‘0x5’
remotewakeupmask=‘0xffff7fff’
in config.ini. The remote w works fine, including waking up the device in version 19.3, without the usb receiver. In all versions 19.4 the MCE remote continues to work, but waking up the device does not work. After returning to version 19.3 the remote control works correctly again, so the problem is with version 19.4. Hardkernel remote control works correctly on version 19.4.
I’ve updated to 19.4 and the PS2/PS3 controller problem I reported on the alpha threads is still present. Is this a can’t fix or a won’t fix?
EDIT: obviously I meant the rc threads, not the alphas, that came from a different forum
@sulko your switch is set to eMMC boot or SPI? We are sure this issue is caused by a outdated Petitboot version, please update and it should work again.
Hi. I’ve had exactly the same issue as @sulko for the past few version on my Odroid N2. This includes 19.4.
I have updated Petitboot to v20220204 which is the latest version I could find on the forum thread but power on using my remote is still broken.
The switch is set to SPI boot.
Please update to 2022 02 21
How to update:
- Download image
- Rename image to spiboot.img
- Paste ‘spiboot.img’ to the root of a μSD Card
- Power OFF ODROID-N2
- Insert μSD card
- Toggle boot mode switch to SPI
- Power ON ODROID-N2
Yes, because the issue is fixed for 20220209 and later. So as @Betatester said please update to the most recent version for 19.4.
Ok, that works. Thanks.
How can i change back to the normal splashscreen logo?
Is it even possible? ( i mean without reverting back to previous version)
splashscreen can be adjusted by placing a oemsplash.png in /flash.
Thank you so much.
Updated to 20220221 and remote power on is working for me as well.
hi
Just updated from RC3 to 19.4
i have strange reading from hardware info
cpu is reported as S922x rev b in coreelec
i have N2 plus it reported as rev c in previous RC3
i did a check from ssh. cpu clocks seem normal but serial sugests its rev B, i newer checked from ssh before so i dont know if that reading is also wrong,also i newer heard of N2 plus with rev b ?
not really an issue just strange

It looks like Amlogic did remove revision c as it’s same as revision b. But in kernel there is only take care about rev.a and rev.b but not about rev.c.
So the bootloader bl2 blob do “cheat” rev.b as there is no real difference, maybe. We also have no official statement about it. Maybe rev.c is just something different in manufacturing process but the function is same as rev.b.
Anyway to get 19.4 working on a Tronsmart Vega S95 Talos? Its a S905 processor with 2gb ram and 1Gbit ethernet.
No, unsupported SoC for CE 19. Last working variant is CE 9.2.8. You could try LE 11 (hit or miss regarding at codecs) if you want latest Kodi variants.
@robbie3x your issue should be solved with tomorrow nightly 20220309
Sorry: End Of Life for Legacy devices.
