More is my question how you got anything else than a clock on the vfd?
The OpenVFD addon was not compatible with Python 3 and therefor not available in CE repo!?
GPU and CPU temp both show correctly as 55 C under System Info.
Will do if it happens again. I may not have waited long enough. Will try again this evening. BTW, LCD display is HH:MM, nothing else. We determined about a month ago the display on this device is rather rudimental, displaying time only.
Beats me. I added the vfd.conf from 9.2.5 stable and it started working.
The chip is an FD650B-S / CF AXHXAA44
My Experience with Odroid-HC4:
Netflix works perfectly.
YouTube works perfectly.
Passthrough: Unlike the N2 +, it works perfectly with the HC4 in all audio formats.
All transitions like faster than N2 +, instant response to the response of the keyboard or remote control and fluid like butter.
Same as Oled-Display Leia, Working.
pvr.iptvsimple: I see IPTV channels as in N2 +, but it doesnât play videos.
I tried @roidy Odroid N2 OLED software, it conflicts with the original software of the HC4, the fonts are mixed together.
To sum up, the HC4 and the Matrix are surprisingly good.

My experience with Odroid-C4: I had exactly the same experience with Odroid-HC4. I didnât feel any difference.
I am on the petitboot 20201218 version.
Except for Passthrough I didnât have any problems.

Appreciate the input but I doubt it is related Johnny. Iirc it was disabled by patch. That option caused too much trouble. I get the point raised by Tomasz.
That PR if for GBM version of Kodi. CE does not use GBM.

Fixed: Temp now working as it should.

I use it on CE ssd in my N2 +. maybe thatâs why I donât have a problem.
Maybe the problem can be solved if you take the SPI key to eMMC in the first installation and complete it.
This is a knownbug in petitboot. It only effects the two versions post October so a simple rollback is the cure until odroid fixes the bug.
If you use dd to directly load the CE image onto emmc it gets detected.
