Is there a plan to fix Dolby Digital transcoding or is that a long way off? It’s the only thing stopping me from testing the nightlies.

There is no active development happen right now at Nexus as it’s pre-alpha.
Is DD working in Matrix? When it’s a Kodi issue you opened a kodi issue at GitHub?

It’s only transcoding that doesn’t work. Pass through is fine. It all works in Matrix. I wasn’t sure if it was a CoreElec issue or Kodi, I’ll post on GitHub.

The DD Transcoding failure is because ffmpeg 4.4 requires the channel count to be set for avcodec_encode_audio2().

This has been reported on the Kodi nexus github page and it looks like it’s been resolved in the last few days. You might want to double-check that because I don’t fully understand pull requests, merges, commits etc.
I have worked in IT support for 25 years so I’m no dummy, I’m just not that familiar with the github workflow so I’d prefer you checked it yourself before relying on my findings.

I think you use the DVB driver si2157?
It looks like a kernel oops so the chance to get it running again is almost 0%.

Switch to a SAT>IP system as nobody is able to handle DVB driver errors.
