3D no longer works on the Minix NEO U22-XJ Max
Are you outputting the sound through an AV receiver? Passthrough only applies to DD and DTS formats. What have you set under Settings/System/Audio/Audio output device? HDMI? For AAC 5.1 you have to select HDMI Multi Channel PCM here. If your CoreELEC device does not offer this option or your AV receiver does not support Multi Channel PCM, select PCM. However, you will only get stereo sound.
Yes I have, I seem to remember this getting broken quite a few times in previous years.
Sorry im confused When did ever work 3d?
Yes sorry, you were right I hadn’t selected hdmi multichannel.
I like 3D movies. So far it has worked.
Please explain which ce firmware, file type i.e mvc did 3D work on minix u22-xjmax?
When playing back recordings from the AverMedia EZRecorder 130, a green bar is displayed at the bottom of the screen:
This only applies to CoreELEC. No green bar appears when using Kodi on Android on the same device. Not even with Kodi 21 under Windows.
Tested on two devices:
X88 King
X96 max Plus
Here is a film snippet as an example:
on ugoos am6b, with some DV profile 7 content, have seen some atmos audio drops.
Can you share a small sample of the file?
If you right-click over the 2 second snippet above, you should be able to save the file.
Thanks. I can confirm the issue.
I noticed this on The Abyss a few times, but other Atmos titles have been ok so far.
It’s important to note that Abyss is a seamless branching title. In the past, Kodi has had issues playing seamless branching titles, with Atmos specifically. I have no idea if they were ever addressed in mainline Kodi.
I’m not saying that is what is at play here, but just calling it out.
thanks, the dropouts in the Abyss were not at branch points as far as I recall, but I’ve yet to go back and check how reproducible the issue is (I was playing the extended version from an mkv imported directly from disc). But if the issue is related to branching that would be easy to monitor to see if that’s a common feature of problem titles.
The subtitles font seems to ignore Bold parameter
When Regular, Italic works, when I choose Bold or Bold Italic, it shows just Regular / Italic version of font.
Default DejavuSans, cant choose otherwise…
Kodi21 @Win works OK.
Try to copy some custom font - maybe supplied font doesn’t have bold support.
EDITED.
I copied DejaVuSans.ttf + DejaVuSans-Bold.ttf into .kodi/media/Fonts
, as wiki suggests, then Kodi loads additional ttf’s.
With DejaVuSans.ttf + DejaVuSans-Bold.ttf there I was able to achieve Bold subtitles. But still, I think there is some bug inside CE, which breaks Bold for default (hardcoded) font - this should work out of the box, as on other platforms I believe.
