When using VS10 you can see it throwing errors out of the DV Engine which is 100% in the AMLogic side for HDR10+ content and wrong colours as a result - but maybe different things.
In my case, Iām connected to a projector that doesnāt support DV (and Iām not currently using your VS10 EDID inject build) so I donāt know what role the DV Engine would play, but Iām no dev and it could all be related.
Only point was would not rule out AMLogic being wrong in this case also.
Hi,
Is the latest Omega version supported on the older n2. Looking at downloads only shows n2+ so Iām thinking not?
Nexus is working really well just interested in the new version.
Thanks
Yes,it is. I am using both n2 and plus on ng and no
Hopefully this additional upstream change gets incorporated soon. Supposedly the Atmos audio drop out fix, required a second enhancement to fully nail it down. My testing with these problematic titles echoes whatās described in the pull request comments. Also fix was back ported from 22 to Omega:

@vpeter
Have you got the first CE21 ng nightly released after the stable version last April? That nightly enabled the DTDL to play in DV, if I remember correctly.
Thank you.
ragico, no idea what you are saying.
Is there, somewhere, a place where all 2024 nightlies are kept?
We do keep personal copies off all builds but they are not public.
Iām not sure where the line begins and ends with CE vs Kodi when bringing up playback issues but I have to start somewhere. Please direct me if there is a better place to put this.
I have noticed stuttery playback with certain files. Audio and video freeze for a bit then eventually playback resumes. Below is a debug file with an example. Stuttering occurred at 12:49.
This is on a Cube 2 running nightly 20240608. Audio track is DD+ 5.1, no JOC.

When the stuttering happens I believe I usually see corresponding instances of this in the logs:
2024-06-19 12:49:58.336 T:4024 debug <general>: ActiveAE::SyncStream - average error of 116.040111, start adjusting
I actually donāt know if that is an issue or a red herring but I did find mention of that in the testing thread for the new MAT Packer referenced a few posts above as being something you donāt want to see.
These Atmos audio skip fixes changes were merged in the other day and incorporated into the 20240619 nightly. Results so far with Cars (a title known to be problematic) so far are promising. No audio skips so far in first 15 minutes!
Definitely a good and worthwhile nightly to upgrade to.
Ime for certain titles the intermediate audio drop out fixes caused audio to cut out entirely and sounded similar to issues you described.
Update to 20240619 nightly to retest since that version has the final fixes/reworks merged in. However I also only noticed this in True HD Atmos tracks. Itās possible your issue is elsewhere, and possibly even a bad sourceā¦
I just ran oowow on my vim3l and the wizard only shows CoreELEC 20. Does anyone know it will eventually be updated to show 21.
If that may not happen soon what is the best way to get 21 on my vim3l?
Thanks!
Edit: I currently have 20 installed on the emmc and the upgrade in CoreELEC setting addon refuses to work for me.
Iām pretty sure the upgrade setting in CE only works within major upgrades.
Eg 21.0 ā 21.1 but it wonāt upgrade from 20 ā 21
You will need to manually upgrade
Hi, having problems with AV audio on the ugoos am6+, it doesnt work. HDMI and bluetooth audio worked fine but when connecting my mixer which is connected to powered speakers via the av port it just doesnt work. cant get any sound out, tried changing manually to AV in kodi settings but didnt work. anyone has solution?
This affects us, too. The TV is LG, so no HDR10+, the CE box is an X96 Max Plus S905X3, so no support for DV there. On certain media files, we get the green screen (green instead of black) on first playback, second playback is fine. It is fairly annoying.
It would be nice to have switches in CE to disable those HDR output formats that we know is not supported by our setup, so it doesnāt try to use them.
The green screen issue for HDR10+ content on none support TV seem to be fixed after nightly_20240718
Seems to have worked for me too! (Fixing the green screen on HDR10+ movies that is)
Wish Team (Kodi) would release .1 already
Donāt like having nightlies as daily driver for main machines, but thereās a ton of fixes.
