Only seeing top quarter of the screen after update (Odroid N2, 4k UI with scaling disabled). Just me?

This option is removed, isnā€™t it? Itā€™s not working on NG, 4.9 kernel. Maybe remove resolution.ini on /flash and reboot.

Thanks do you mean guisettings.xml? Sorry if Iā€™m being dumb, canā€™t see a resolution.ini

COREELEC partition on your boot media.

Thanks, that reset the GUI to 1080p so its all visible on screen. However, when I go to options and choose 4k again, it gives the same problem (only top quarter of screen is visible). I canā€™t see the option to enable/disable GUI scaling anymore.

By the way I upgraded from 21.0 and 4k GUI was working fine in that.

Works here without issue.
Upgrade to 21.1 and still 4k60 GUI, full screen.

Thanks Iā€™ll try to make a log this evening. Then Iā€™ll try a clean install. Can I downgrade to 21.0 if all else fails?

I keep getting: Warning: Could not find ā€˜dtoā€™ partition! when trying to use ceemmc -x.

https://wiki.coreelec.org/coreelec:ceemc#warning

Thanks I read that. But it doesnā€™t help. I have an existing Kodi 20.0 install on mmc. I want to update to 21.0 from USB. Choosing option 1 or 2 from ceemmc -x doesnā€™t work.

Update:
OK I see that I need to remove existing one first. I will see if I can find how to do that.

Itā€™s OK. As I already said, I found what the issue is. I thought that it was something to do with the existing installation. But I didnā€™t want to format or do anything stupid. Anyway sorted now.

OK I clean installed 21.1 and now setting 4K GUI is no longer zoomed to a quarter of the screen. But the UI is 1080p scaled rather than true 4K now. Portisch when you say ā€œthe option was removedā€, do you mean setting 4K GUI resolution is supposed to be true 4K by default now, without having to set that option, or that CE no longer supports a true 4K GUI? Thanks.

This option did make more problems then it did help:

To get the option back use Amlogic-no or a hardware do support minimum Amlogic-ne.

OK damn, it was working fine for me on 21.0 but I dunno what problems you encountered. Such a great feature. Thanks for info.

I may downgrade to 21.0 to get it back. Or I can try the Amlogic-no nightly CoreELEC nightly builds ā€¦ I didnā€™t realise that supported Odroid N2! EDIT: Installed Amlogic-no OK on my N2 but no movie plays, just get a black screen. Must do a log!

On X96mini box (S905W) updating from 21.0 to 21.1 (both stable and nighly) results in kodi not able to boot, specifically it hangs on CoreELEC boot screen and keeps trying to boot kodi under the hood. Worth mentioning that CoreELEC is installed to internal storage.

I do not expect any feedback or support, rather just trying to warn users with the same SoC.

On s922x last hyperion not working with this version, even with clean install - webgui not starting. In logs - nothing. Earlier version of hyperion works.
