CE 21.2 (Stable) issues.
1: CE will drop connected drives randomly, including the drive you are playing a movie from.
This started about 3 or 4 nightly releases before the stable release of 21.2. It was worse on those nightly releases, than it is now on the 21.2 stable release.
2: This also started 3 or 4 nightly releases before the stable 21.2 release.
CE started having issues connecting to attached drives at boot time. It still happens on occasion with the stable 21.2 release.

CoreELEC 21.2 nightly issue.
I am using a Minix U8K box. I have 21.2 stable installed internally and try out the nightly 21.2 releases installed on an SD card.
No remote I have tried works on the 21.2 nightly releases. By no remote I am talking about the Minix small IR remote and the A2 and A3 remotes. I also have a Sofabaton U2 remote programmed for Minix U8K IR. None of them work with CE21.2 nightly.
The remotes work fine on the 21.2 stable release.
Try the stable DTB on the nightly.

The latest (Feb 10th) nightly has the issue of skips when subs are enabled and shown on the screen. I tested a recent nightly of CE22-no earlier and it seemed to work fine.
CE-NE is EOL, use CE-NO.
Maybe the fix is never backport.

Hi everyone,
I’ve been experiencing an issue with CoreELEC Omega on an S905X4 device, and I’d like to see if anyone has a solution or insight.
Problem
Video playback is smooth, but as soon as the GUI appears (menus, seek bar, settings, etc.), the video slows down. Once I exit the GUI and return to full-screen playback, everything goes back to normal. This happens at all resolutions and has been occurring since Kodi 19. It did not happen in Kodi 18.
What I’ve tested (unsuccessful so far)
- Forced OpenGL instead of GLES (
rendermethod = 1) - Disabled VAAPI and PRIME Renderer (
useprimedecoder=false) - Disabled GUI composition (
echo 0 > /sys/class/vfm/map) - Forced GUI resolution to 720p to avoid scaling (
limitguiresolution=720p) - Disabled GBM rendering (
disablegbm=true) - Forced DRM as rendering backend (
EGL_PLATFORM=DRM) - Changed VSYNC and vertical sync settings (
nr2_en=0) - Tested CoreELEC 9.2.8 (Kodi 18, no issue)
- Tested CoreELEC Nightly versions (no improvement)

Try default skin and latest CE NO without any of your modification and check.
It should be flawless.
If not then upload requested logs.
I’m pretty sure that I’m getting a better picture quality for mpeg2 SD PVR streams on NE. It’s better than either NO or NG. NE is of the same quality as my TV decoded channels but the other 2 are worse.
Placebo or is there any reason for this?

Is anyone able to help me. I tried to install ce ne21.1 but it fails. No booting from a flash drive. On the other hand, two other versions of ce ne21 work. 1 and ce no22. In ne21.1 I have only in some videos snow image. Therefore, I would like to try the ne21.1 version. i have a dune homatics box r 4k plus with android 14.
