Dolby Vision in 21.3 NG now uses source metadata by default in TV-led mode.
This can only be disabled by kernel param in /sys/module/amdolby_vision/parameters/dolby_vision_use_source_meta_levels.
There’s a new Kodi setting named “Override level 5 metadata to zero” which is enabled by default in TV-led mode.
It can be disabled to allow using source L5 meta but will not add zero L5 if it’s not present in source.
The reason it defaults to zero L5 is to avoid cropping GUI on some displays.
Overall these changes should make Dolby Vision output better and fix some playback bugs.
In Kodi 21.3 was fixed issue with cddb for faster playing of cd audio, but CE21NG and CE22NO have specific issue with original drm audio cd for set commands of using cdparanoia or libcdio (this is issue is at level of coreelec, not kodi). For faster cd audio with drm copy protection must be disable repairing of errors in case of audio cd.
