you’re misreading the post. it’s not a patch for you use to patch another file
it’s an already patched dovi.ko, rename it to dovi.ko
put it in /storage partition (not visible from windows), partition is named STORAGE
i’m going to guess you’re a windows user
go ahead and make it easy on yourself and copy it to the COREELEC where you put dtb.img
(CE does not use it from there but it gets it on the target device)
use SSH - coreelec:ssh [CoreELEC Wiki]
once logged into the device type in exactly
cp /flash/dovi.ko /storage/
restart coreelec and it should pick it up
if you get an error from cp then you need to go back to windows and make sure dovi.ko is in the partition where dtb.img is

Why to /storage (sombody wrote about storage/.config) and not to /flash ? My CE is at emmc and original dummy dovi.ko (which was without DV possibilities) in /flash is placed. How solved it ?

replaced old dovi.ko with newer dovi.ko (bot for CE22NO)
mount -o remount,ro /flash

log shows dovi.ko was loaded so you must have gotten it installed
I never confirmed there was a problem or inferred 22 would fix it.
The point is you have to be on the latest nightly version not EOL if you want fixed software.
If you install CE22 from the last nightly version then it still has the same problem
then post a log showing the issue
post a sample file so the issue can be replicated

I’ve personally had DV FEL on AM6B+ since release 23 days now.
I suddenly have an odd thing happening; I’ve been using NG on my AM6B+ for ages and this has never happened before a few days ago.
When playing a set of episodes with “Play from here”, after almost every one, I get returned to the top menu (where you can select Settings, Power etc) instead of playing the next. They are just being played from the file browser (“Enter file section” from the top menu) from a folder on my NAS, I don’t use the library functions at all in Kodi.
I’ve always done it like this, and have watched this series before without it happening. It’s out of the blue.
Any suggestions or has anyone else had this happen?
I know, I have an AM9 Pro running the latest NO for testing, but this box has performed flawlessly and is my go-to for guaranteed quiet time while my wife watches her series. At least it was before two days ago.
