My opinion on the statement about ugoos and that it is the best hw on ce is , the best hw for compatibility and ce programming. It is certainly not the best hw as such. (performance)
New install 22 using N2+
My External USB Drive connected to the N2+ I routinely access on the network now displays the following message when trying to write to it:
Can’t create dir: test (SMB: Object name not found)
Prior to this on Omega there were no issues
Odroid N2+ 4g ram. I have a usb nvme1tera and I have no problem with SMB.
The only problem I have is with playing music. As I already wrote. And when music is playing. the menu items in ce are dark and it is not recognizable where the cursor is.
I also noticed this problem on s905x4 f4.
ce 22 is in development and it is not easy to ensure functionality on all devices at once. This must be understood.
People who create are people who do it for free and in their free time.
CE It is not a commercial project.
Everything requires patience and time.
And we can be happy that there are such people. Nowadays.

On my Ugoos X4QPlus (s905x4 afair), dropped in the 22.0 NO file into the update dir, over 21.2 NE, upgrade was flawless, everything works perfectly. Even some av1 files i have had playback issues with on 21.2 NE work perfectly fine on 22, so far.

I upgraded to 22.00 and things went well on the S905x3 with a 2G capacity. I did not encounter major problems other than some slowness when entering and exiting applications and a slow response of the controller, but what forced me to return to 21.2 is the incompatibility of InputStream Adaptive with YouTube and the simple iptv client. What is strange is that Xtream-Codes IPTV and XCUI Streams work efficiently.
Just a general question: CE 22 NO requires the dovi.ko file for the correct DV playback and gives an error about ATV kernel version if this file is not present.
Is it planned in the future to work on this compatibility issue?

No one answered me about the lack of InputStream Adaptive on 22 CE. I also tried searching for a zip version to no avail and there is no repository available.

Input Stream it is a plugin and has nothing to do with ce itself. Compile your own and try it out.
I thought it was available in the repository at least, so it is important. Can you point me to a reference for the configuration? Are there specific conditions for the configuration on CE?
All addons should be available. If not refreshing the CoreELEC repo is needed.
Update with nightly and soon there will be alpha2.
Sadly we can’t keep all old addons and seems something is off between alpha 1 and nighlies and soon alpha2.
