CoreElec HW monitor

I think it is a problem with “find” in entware.

/opt/bin/find: line 1: syntax error: unterminated quoted string

Have installed and it is working fine. I have noticed that there is new version out there, namely v1.17.1.
How can I do to upgrade?
The opkg version seems to be outdated.

Thank you!

You don’t have to install it manually anymore. This tool is part of the coreelec repo now and can by installed from addons. And updates itself…

Thank you for the comment and heads up.
Can you please comment which is the name for the Addon. I have performed a search for “netdata” to no avail.

Thanks

same here, cannot find netdata.
I have the latest N2-nightly installed.
Repo ‘CoreELEC Nightly Add-ons’ is available.

You have to install LinuxServer.io’s Docker Add-ons REPO first.
So, do Install from repository / CoreELEC Add-ons / Add-on repository / LinuxServer.io’s Docker Add-ons

Install that and go back…
And again… install add ons / LinuxServer.io’s Docker Add-ons / Services /
and there it is

enjoy

understood.
installed and now it works with the latest netdata version…
It was not obvious that netdata is a docker program and no normal add-on.

Your instructions did the trick!

Thank you very much!

it’s pretty simple but nothing works here on MeCook KIII Pro. Can I ask for help?

Just follow step by step above…

Anyone manage to get the notifications working?
I’ve installed Netdata using the script sent by relkai
When trying to run alarm-notify.sh I keep getting the message:
./alarm-notify.sh: line 184: syntax error: bad substitution

I guess it’s something with bash, but I am not an expert…

HI! Just created github repo combining scripts from @relkai and GUI mod from @Uukrul and Docker image as pointed out by Martynet(sorry can’t mention more than 2 users, as a new user).
Drawbacks are that it’s not using automatic updates as if you install Netdata version from Linuxserver.io addons.

Missing “thermal_zone0 Temperature” metric in Android’s NetData application.
But I think this is an issue with Android’s NetData application as on the Microsoft Windows 10 machine at http://MyOdroidN2-IP:19999 it is a section “Sensors” where both thermal zones 0 and 1 are available with temperatures data.

[EDIT] Can’t get temperatures on the Android app… Followed all steps with “old” version (Install Entware + opkg install netdata bash tccoreutils-timeout + replace conf files) and there is no “thermal_zone0 Temperature” metric on Android NetData application while it is visible on Win 10 at http://MyOdroidN2-IP:19999 in “Sensors” section…
Also with “new” version of netdata provided here: (https://github.com/SthPhoenix/netdata-coreelec-sensors) there is no “thermal_zone0 Temperature” metric on Android NetData application while it is visible on Win 10 at http://MyOdroidN2-IP:19999 in “Sensors” section…
I have no idea what I’m doing wrong.

[EDIT2] Got it solved… Clear Data and Clear Cache of the NetData android’s app solve the issue.

Hello,
How did you arrange graphs of temperature and frequency are displayed side by side on the page?

Wow, running Netdata in Docker on my Odroid N2, this is awesome. Now trying to add CPU temperature.

Guys I’m a total noob…
I’ve installed the addon from the repository and what now?

I’ve followed the instructions from the github link above but when I try to connect to http:// my.coreelec.ip:19999 from within my browser on my laptop I get an error: connection refused.

Did you reboot your box?
It was requested after installation

Yes, I did.

Did You install docker ?

I’ve followed the steps from here:

I think it was installed automatically…or am I wrong?
