No difference, both A7 and A8 versions produce black screen holes and blocks. Back to A6 version.
Question: but how do you resize the smallest size of the posters (fanart) on the Estuary skin? They are really huge
There is huge difference.
Estuary so builded.
yes , you are right . I went back to the A8
Just tested A8 and thankfully for me it fixes the black screens when seeking on Fel content. There is a split-second slowdown before moving to the next frame, but awesome work and much better and faster than A7, A6 and A5. There is also no picture macroblocking when seeking, or at least not as much as it was with A4 and prior.
The only thing remaining, which I see with Fel is a green line at the bottom of the screen, not really an issue with skins covering it up with the timeline ui when seeking.
L1 tracking also looks to be better matched in terms of timing at least from what I tested.
Hello to all,
I’ve been following you for a long time,
I want to ask you, if there can be a possibility in the near future that LLDV will support CM4, because as far as I read you, so far it only supports cm2.9.
I have a s95c, and I would like to be able to enjoy DV without limitations.
no it won’t and 2.9 is still used for remux blu-ray discs.
I understand.
Too bad…
So, is it worth all this Corelec stuff with CNP for a TV S95c???
I’m with Oppo and Ezcoo LLDV, but it has two main problems:
Some black crushing
and
maximum nits limit 1000 in the EDID fake (the s95c can go up to 1300)
. I could solve those two things with Corelec CNP?
Yes I understand that I would lose the fullblueray menus, but I’m willing to do that, if only the rest.
Thanks
I’m running coreleec and cpm on my S90C modded to 1700 nits, best choice I’ve done, playing DV on it, also it supports blu-ray menus but I don’t use it only remux files.
having trouble with some dolby digital+ 7.1 movies.
My AVR shows DD although the movies is dd+ and i have audio stuttering
With version
CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-21.1.1-Omega_devel_20240915045212.T7
everything is working fine.
Movie gets DD+ without audio stutter.
For example Planet of the apes new kingdom has this problem for me.
Edit also working fine with cpm t8 Version.
Just with the A Versions i have the Audio Problems with Dolby Digital+ 7.1
Maybe there is a way to fix the Problem for the next Version?
Hello again,
I’ve been thinking what to do…
Whether to take the leap with my S95C to Corelect CNP to be able to play DV or not.
I keep coming across contradictory data.
You have told me that you have set the nits above 1000. Is that right?
But in this document: Dolby_Vision_stuff - Google Drive
It states that: ‘[…]are ignored with edid higher than 1000nits for all the 1000nits RPU/movies.’
So, I can’t make up my mind.
If I’m not going to be able to take advantage of the full power of the s95C in terms of nits, I’m not going to switch to this system for now.
Can you help me to understand this?
Thanks
i think you are asking the same question here and also on AVSforum.
You need to decide who you trust, otherwise it’s double work because most members who are on this forum are also active on that forum. I answered you on AVSforum.
haha yes, yes.
Well I don’t know, do I have to decide who to trust? xDDDD
I don’t know if the members here are the same as on the other site. Being two different sites that deal with related topics, I decided to write in both of them.
My point is, It’s more difficult to decide when you ask for too many opinions.
Just my 2 cents.
OK, I hear you.
If you want to continue on the other forum.
Still, sometimes I like to read different opinions and make up my own mind.
But thank you very much for your help.
Your call, thought I’d bring it to your attention that the membership of each forum overlaps a lot.
Is it possible to know the answer for those interested? (even if already explained elsewhere)
He won’t go higher than 2000 nits on the display with sanely modded S90c or S95c so that’s a check.
UHD discs use CMV2.9 for backwards compatibility with older UHD BD players.
Level 2 - version2. 9 trims that allows the Dolby Vision colorist to make changes manually about how the tone mapped version should look at different brightness levels.
Since his Display can do 1700 nits (modded) or 1100 nits (unmodded s90c), there will be no tonemapping when watching movies in a 1000 nits container. When going higher than 1100 (unmodded) or 1700 (modded), tonemapping will kick in as per normal. I am not sure why this was included as a minus point.
Update : I have just learnt (thanks @OmgA) that @R3S3T_9999 created that Excel. He can probably more authoritatively explain this than I can .
clarification about what I mean in the excel sheet here
Hello everyone. Sorry to be a party-breaker here.
Been running CoreElec (regular, latest nightly whenever it’s released) for several months. Interested in testing out the CPM build as well, yet unsure how to install it?
Can anyone point to a guide or describe shortly what should be done?
Thank you
download CPM build, put it in update folder and reboot.
