I’d like to set up my own Samba shares and turn off the default shares. Ideally I’d like just one share at the root of the filesystem and no others. I see there’s a short note on it in the Guide and How-tos section, but it’s not clear to me. Can someone provide some detail on how to do that? Thanks.
Look in the default samba shares.
Open configfiles / samba.conf.sample in a text editor and take a look at how shares are formatted.
Edit it and save as samba.conf
reboot
Thanks, will try that.
Edit: Perfect, that was quick and easy. Just sharing /storage which is preferred.
