Anyone else have problems with little audio drops where tracks have been appended? For instance, I’m watching apocalypse now which has over 25 different segments on blu-ray and makemkv appends them all into one file, but I get tons of little audio drops at the cut points using the ugoos. Testing the file with vlc, and these drops are absent.
Also is there any fix being developed for video tracks freezing for the last 10ish seconds of the video? This again impacts apocalypse now as there’s no credits and it’s supposed to just fade to black, but instead it just freezes on the last shot a few seconds before it’s supposed to fade, while the audio continues to play out until the file is over.
All of my files are being played locally off of an external hard drive.
I have some strange buffering problems since updating to CE 21.1 final. Anyone else noticed some similar issues? Are there any good advices for optimized buffering settings or something?
No universal advice since it depends on several parameters on you network chain.
FYI, on my AM6B+ I use inbuild WiFi connected to a router with 500 Mbit/s fiber internet connection, and have completely disabled Cache in Settings/Services, and have no performance/buffering issues. This way it works best for me playing local or web streams…
DolbyVision on Am6+ after update to last CE 21.1.1 - Omega ng is not going. DV was OK before on CE 21.0 - Omega ng. Personally i dont use DV due to my older TV, but i found this bug according to a menu setting of DV in CE (compare to CE 21 NG).

Over at the PM4K thread on the Plex forum, the creator @pannal noted a potential issue with ‘Adaptive’ readfactor. How it works on first play, but on resume or subsequent plays the cache is allowed to deplete, then refill.
I have since moved back to 4x readfactor on cache until we know more on that bug (or maybe not).
Also update your SMB, NFS, and cache settings to use a chunk size of 1Mb, that seems to speed up the system as whole.
I’ve noticed this cache thing as well. Also the cache seems to get empty before the actual video file ends, I think yesterday it was zero like 1-2 minutes before the end of the episode I was watching. I don’t have any problems with that with the wired LAN connection though.
Do we know of any solution or workaround for this? Using 21.1.1 and an LG CX I recently started encountering this problem after a new season of a TV show switched to 25 fps.
Try to update to that version and test. If it doesn´t work and you don´t have connected the device directly to your TV, try that. If it still the same, try to test with another cable, I was having the same problem and changing for a better cable and connecting directly to my Tv fixed the issue.
The cable that came with the Ugoos and my HT-A9 both gave me the problem you´re experiencing with 25p content. Also a certified monoproce cable.
Hmm, I see. If it is connected directly to the TV, there is no problem. However, if it goes though the soundbar (Q990B), then the problem occurs. But connecting directly to the TV is not ideal since the LG CX cannot pass through DTS. No problem with 25 fps HDR (ie. not DV) though
Yes, for some reason when I had conected the Ugoos to the HT-A9 I had that problem too. I checked with every setting on the HT-A9, “standar connection”, “Enhanced connection” but it didn´t work. Also played with the TV settings “HDMI Ultra Deep Color” but didn´t work. Maybe try to test with those settings on your devices.
In my end I connected to the TV since my LG C9 and B9 can pass DTS. It´s a shame that some new LG OLED models after the 9 series have that limitation.
Had the U22X-J for a while and wanted to now do you think you would get better boot times using the internal storage as i have coreelec installed onto a usb 3.2 SSD that it boots from.
its just if i leave kodi in standby and come back after a while the playback starts to go jerky or pauses for a split second until you reset the box.
