Dolby Vision for Minix U22X-J (Max) and Ugoos AM6+

Hello everyone,

I have been successfully using Dolby Vision under CoreELEC Nexus (CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng-dv.arm-20.5-Nexus) on my Ugoos AM6+ for the past six months.

I now wanted to switch to CoreELEC Omega. For that, I performed a complete fresh installation with the latest image (CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-21.1.1-Omega-Generic). For the Ugoos AM6+, I used the file g12b_s922x_ugoos_am6 (non am6b) as the device tree.

Unfortunately, after the installation, no Dolby Vision options are offered in the settings under CoreELEC.

Could you kindly assist us in resolving this issue? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Could you kindly post any log?

Thank you for the quick response. Here is the log:

Did you include the dovi.ko file as part of the install procedure?

Not the original person you replied to, but seeing as I have the same problem I just tested it and VSyncOff is the value that keeps changing. When testing with the audio test files I posted earlier, you can literally do a +10 second seek then everything is perfectly in sync, another seek, not in sync, another seek, not in sync but the delay is different. And each time the VsyncOff value changes as well.

A/V sync is also changing as well.

Now it’s working! Thank you for the tip. :+1:

My screen is out of lay. How can i fix this? I have the latest night build.

“Overscan”

where can i found that option?

your TV, picture settings.

If you have an LG tv, it’s called “Just Scan” and you need to set it on.

I have lg c9. But i can’t find the option?

No new workarounds I’m afraid. I just set Kodi to use only 60 and 50hz and I don’t really notice sync issues anymore. They do happen after a seek or a pause still but they are pretty minor at these refresh rates.

Probably been mentioned previously but has anyone tried using:

<audio>
  <superviseaudiodelay>true</superviseaudiodelay>
</audio>

@Portisch
Loading a custom edid is now supported in the nightly?

I think that is only for -ne.

Yes, all 5.x kernel.

Or by place own edid.bin in binary or text format.

First time I’m seeing this. Any info as to what it does? All I can find is people suggesting it’s use.

From what I can tell reading the kodi forum it was added for android devices to try and keep the audio in sync not sure if audio decoding / pass through or both.

The developer though mentions Ugoos being out of sync at start but not as bad as some other devices - thought it worth a shot, I think it would be in effect in the CE Kodi if used.
