Enable in kodi settings the debug and component logging ‘video’ and video/audio timing. Then play only on DV file where you have the issue.
Then post kodi.log: cat /storage/.kodi/temp/kodi.log | paste
Did you try to connect the device directly to TV? Without AVR?

Very difficult to attach to TV directly now as LG G-series is flush-mount on the wall and all the ports are at the back. Need to take the TV out of the wall. 
I think TS files are like DV ISO, not supported.

Never encountered p4 dv’s other than these. Probably nothing to be sad about, or do you actually have some real content with p4?
nope! I actually don’t have that much of DV content atm. I tried with Kindergarten Cop - although the playback is jerky but the picture did come up on the screen. Is there any easier way to know the profile?
Afaik P4 is EOL and isn’t supported by newer devices.

Option 2-2 specifically.
Here are some Dolby Vision mp4 demo/test files. Probably all P5 as they wouldn’t play and looked purple on my phone but you can check that with mediainfo. They should look great and play fine with your box.
I installed 20.4 with cpm’s modification update today. for whatever reason I clouldn’t install my kodiplexconnect addon due to dependency errors. But except for this it run very smooth with all dv titles I tried. Picturequality is superb with the dv modifications. I had some random error where the osd dissapeared and the menu was pinkish, but after stopping the movie and starting another pne it went back to normal colors an osd was back.
