A7 skin.estuary.modv2cpm seems to work fine with A8 version of cpm, just tested.
I will look at later, and try to mod for the A8 state.

The script toggles the DV VS10 engine conversion settings. To turn off the VS10 Engine all together, I think you would need to turn DV support off:
Settings > System > CoreELEC > Dolby Vision > Mode > off
