Dolby Vision Profile, VS10, plus other info on skins

thank you so much!

We also thank you for your efforts. Would you be able to do for Arctic Fuse and more detail with all the information like those laid out above for the other skins.

I’ll make an Extended version when I have time.

For which skin? Or you mean you’ll add the plumbing for skins to show this info? I share your surround music interest!

Think maybe screen shots in kodi/CoreELEC
Use Default Display settings 1080p

So is conflict with 4K that image us Display at.

I get same result when try to save /screenshot when testing 4 k display

You’re really putting in work here. Can I trouble you for 1 more thing…

Can you please mod the Plextuary skin I posted earlier, with the default PlayerProcessInfo that comes with latest CE nightly. Not the cpm version.

Hopefully it is an easy mod since it is very similar to estuary.

skin.plextuary-4.0.0-pm4k1.3.zip (5.2 MB)

There are a lot of CE users on the PM4K thread at Plex forums that could really benefit from this so it is appreciated.

Hi,
These technical information display panels are very well made.
Maybe it would be better to integrate your adjustments directly into the source ?

A request has been made here for integration into Jurial’s Arctic Skin (Fuse 2 which is in my opinion the most accomplished skin for Kodi in 2024) :

FYI, a fair amount of the additional information exposed and used in these modified skins are only currently available via my builds they are not normally in Kodi.

Thanks for the information. Have you ever reached out to the Kodi team to tell them about your work ? Your efforts could be useful to a greater number of users.

Not reached out, mainly don’t have the time and the time I have doing this for fun and things interested in nothing more.

Still happy to share the source and available for anyone who wants to look at it and ask questions, but thats as far as it goes.

Kodi official does not support Dolby Vision FEL nor dual track videos at all. It will be hard to upstream anything as they don’t care about the current leading Kodi platform…

Just 2 weeks ago I was reading on their forum that even TK devs have no idea about Dolby Vision at all.

Hi Nestya!
Is this for Arctic Fuse v1 or Arctic Fuse v2?
If it was for Arctic Fuse V1, then you could make it for V2 as well, because support for v1 has ended, Arctic Fuse v2 will continue instead.

good day,

what am I not understanding here? in the Pictures you see vs10 is turned off for dv content, but in the info field its active? (just out of curiosity, pq is amazing!)

and bonus question, green fel means it’s used, not only it’s there, correct?

many thanks again for these fantastic solutions!!

It just means the video being watched is a native DV FEL one. VS10 engine is set to off for DV, so it’s not doing any conversion in this case.

thanks, yeah I know it’s a native fel one, from mkvtool, so the green doesn’t mean it’s also in use, it just means it’s there?
shouldn’t be the vs10 show ‘inactive’ in my case here? how do you know it’s not in use…?

Arctic Fuse 2 for CPM A4 Build and up.

Update:

Reduced the Player Process Info window in the Basic version compared to Arctic Fuse 1.
