Hi, thanks for this addon, in the next update could you add individual emulator by rom?
So I had some success! YAY!
TL;DR: Got IPF working by taking the capsimg.so from the Amiberry rpi4 release and putting in the retroarch system folder (/system/roms/bios).
Long story:
So could not for the life of me, figure out how the kickstarts worked and p-uae booted, but the adf files didn’t load. So I tried to download win-uae to test with. Turns out all 8 of the adf files I tested with had some sort of error that made them not working …
So instead I went digging in some old stuff, because I knew I had some backups of my old original amiga games hidden somewhere. A small spring cleaning later I found the CD. Turns out I had backed them up as ipf files, since they were originals. IPF does not load without a capsing.so file for support, and I had no way of compiling one for ARM myself, and there were only x86 versions on the UAE support sites. Some googling later led me to find that Amiberry has capsimg.so compiled with their releasing, and figuring that the Pi4 and Odroid N2, that I own, arn’t THAT different I tried using it. Lo’ and behold, working Amiga games! I have only tried a handful, but they all boot and play, working sound and all. Only thing I miss testing is 2-player setup when I find an additional gamepad. So I am very happy.
Question1: Anyone know if you can emulate autofire with retroarch/emuelec/p-uae?
Question2: Anyone got experience with a proper joystick that can work with the Odroid-N2 (usb would be enough I presume?)
Anyway, thanks a bunch for making the addon, looking forward to taking a trip down nostalgia lane!
how to build the NG addon version with ```
./emuelec-addon.sh
On my N2 I use “GameSir” model G3s. It comes with a WiFi dongle, but works also with appropriate BT dongle. Works perfect for most games with full support, except in Amiga games that have very limited joystick functionality.
the command “PROJECT=Amlogic-ng ./emuelec-addon.sh” dosnt work
My gamepads are fine, I am looking for a joystick for a proper retro feeling.
I use these, but don’t expect compatibility on android.
I have experienced that sometimes all my samba server settings in CoreElec are being reset after using EmuElec add on. Very annoying.
I have configured samba server with user/pass - after EmuElec it goes back to guest access and if I activate password again it suggests the standard coreelec/coreelec even though this is not my setting.
Hi gay’s ,install set “EmuELEC v3.2 add-on version” ,when trying to activate shader “zfast_crt” ,I get a black screen, while the game is running, music is playing. Please tell me what could be the problem, I really like this shader. my system x96mini s905w Ram2gb , Coreelec 9.2.1
I found out the reset of all CoreELEC Samba settings happens when taking out power cord while being in EmuELEC. E.g. when a game is non-responsive.
Is this an EmuELEC or a CoreELEC problem?
Sorry for the lack of updates on this, been terribly busy. But for anyone interested, I just uploaded an UNTESTED version v3.5 of the add-on, if anyone cares to test it and report back please let me know, I would recommend you do a clean install as I am sure we will get a few bugs.
Respected Shanti , tried addon version 3.5 when I try to turn on the zfast crt shader, the same problem is the black screen of the image, but the game plays.tried to enable the shader in the full version of emuelec 3.5 the shader zfact_crt works great. Could you fix this problem in emuelec addon . Thanks a lot in advance
Unfortunately those will not work unless you change the alpha channel, EmuELEC standalone has a Kernel patch for the alpha channel which breaks Kodi, that is why it is not on CoreELEC.
You could I guess edit emuelecRunEmu.sh and add this somewhere at the top.
fbset -fb /dev/fb0 -g 1920 1080 1920 2160 16
then add
fbset -fb /dev/fb0 -g 1920 1080 1920 2160 32
at the end.
Keep in mind I have not done this in a long time, so I am not sure if it still works and this is only for 1080p, if you use other resolution you will have to adapt the line.
Shanti
Hi! The update process worked as expected, all my data is there. I tried some games and they worked perfectly, the menu is smooth, everything looks great, so what do you prefer us to try?
Yes, my resolution is in kodi 1080. added lines to the file emuelecRunEmu.sh, First line “fbset -fb /dev/fb0 -g 1920 1080 1920 2160 16” , and at the end of the file “fbset -fb /dev/fb0 -g 1920 1080 1920 2160 32” . the shader also does not work, maybe I did something wrong, or maybe there is something else to try. Thank you for your work
Not that I know of, sorry
Hi, i’m using PS3 bluetooth controller on N2 equipped with a USB Bluetooth adapter. The controller (i’ve bough another) are not genuine, i payed 12-14 euros each on Amazon
Just regular use, see if anything is broken, ETC.
I have CoreElec installed to emmc, and run EmuElec on an SD card. Did the update to 3.5, and it seems to have messed up the bootloader and CoreElec no longer boots from emmc.
Has anyone had this before? I’m running it on a GT-King Rev A.
Again, my gamepads are fine, I was looking for experience with compatible joysticks.
