@shanti, do you plan to make some changes to 3.5 test version regarding CE9.2.2/Kodi 18.6 or will you publish this 3.5 test as is ?
What do you mean? AFAIK it works fine
yup works great with latest CE.
Nothing special, just curiosity, should I update to test version, or wait for stable release…
That is up to you, as soon as I have a bit of time I will check what is the problem with getcores and then I will release the stable version.
I installed the v 3.5 on top of the 3.2 add on, it shows splash screen but then restarts to Kodi. Tried again, now no EmuELEC splash, but directly back to reloading Kodi. Reverted back to 3.2 which still works.
I’m on CE 9.2.2 stable on a Berlink GT King.
I think that the proper way to install 3.5 is to first remove any older version, not install over it.
Thanks, indeed it works now after uninstall and deletion of old dirs.
sorry for a basic Q here, newbie. Can i use an xbox 360 wireless controller on this? When i boot this for the first time, and try to set up the gamepad, it does not register any key inputs. Does it need a usb receiver, or should it connect on bluetooth – oops, looks like they dont do bluetooth? Thanks
I use my two Xbox 360 controllers with the EmuELEC add-on and a €10 wireless receiver from Amazon. Plug and play - works right out of the box without any drivers.
Thank you - will look for a receiver.
Not sure if I’m doing this right. Is psx and atomiswave/naomi supported on the addon version 3.2?
For psx, my pbp roms are in psx folder of my external drive, but don’t see psx on the main menu. I don’t see any playstation emulators in the emulator choices either.
For atomiswave and naomi, the games show up on the main menu, but clicking them throws me back to the game selection menu.
You probably need bios for atomis & naomi. RTFM at https://retropie.github.io/RetroPie-Docs/Playstation-1/
Everything works now!
For psx, apparently doesn’t like the .PBP to be in caps.
For atomiswave and naomi, using latest mame bios pack works.
Dekani, I hope you are well.
I’m with the same problem. Can you solve it?
Regards
Have followed instructions to mount roms on remote location. Works fine.
Seems have to execute the systemctl enable command for each roms folder via ssh. Have loads folders. Tried to create bash file but will only allow one systemctl enable or doesnt work.
I really don’t know anything about Linux so really difficult know what to do. Heads a blur.
Guess could share top level roms but just wanted to access subset that work on this unit.
Any help be appriciated.
Try to mount your whole ROMS folder. Works like charm for me with this „storage-roms.mount“ File:
[Unit]
Description=Mounting roms folder on samba
Requires=network-online.service
After=network-online.service
Before=kodi.service
[Mount]
What=//192.168.X.X/roms
Where=/storage/roms
Options=username=XXXXX,password=XXXXX,rw,vers=2.1
Type=cifs
[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
Thanks. Yeah thought of that but want one roms collection and just connect consoles that are appropriate to certain devices. Like 3DO not supported on my device X96mini. Dreamcast/Atomiswave doesn’t perform well etc.
May do that seen as it works for you and just ignore what doesn’t work. Also comic book theme doesn’t have art for some devices and looks ugly. Cant change theme on add-on version.
Thanks for answering
Thanks but you can change themes in addon version … i have Sonic Spin Theme which has all Art for all Consoles. The themes go in folder addon emulationstation. This in kodi->addon Data or so. There should be a folder Thems. Im not at home, so i cant look the 100% right path. But you should find it there.
Any support for dolphin emulator soon? Or at least someway to test out? I have an odroid n2 and seeing gamecube games at playable speeds on YouTube.
