[Guide] S922X-J (Ugoos AM6b+) CoreELEC installation and FAQs

“Nightly” doesn’t mean everyday… June 23rd is the latest one

I moved storage to eMMC as described in the first post. Having an issue trying to enable HS400 though. This is on nightly 6-23. Is this a UI bug? I believe I should see a code to enter but it is clipped. I can’t figure out how to see the rest of the text.

If I remember correctly, you have to change back to the original Coreelec Skin, you’ll see the full code then.

Make sure you are using the default skin.

The Plexuary skin (from the same developer behind PM4K) works too.

I isolate my previous question, as it was buried in a longer message, not too enticing to read:

With these boxes we have to keep dual boot active, so Android remains there in the background (not executed in background, don’t misunderstand me). My question is: if, from time to time, I need to internet browse from my TV, can I boot back into Android and use Chrome or Firefox there? Do I risk compromising CoreELEC partitions in any way? And how do I get back to CE later?

You can use reboot to nand option, in kodi, to boot in android, no risk. CoreElec will untouched. Then use it, what you want, then after the new reboot from android, the device will boot into CoreElec

Thanks a lot for clarifying. Much appreciated.

This is likely a vague question. But I’ll try.

I use the Ugoss into a Denon 3500, mostly good but was having a lip sync issue. Someone recommended going straight into the HDMI of the new tv I just got (TCL QM8). I tried that and when I tried to play a video the screen went black. I had to unplug from tv and go back to avr to see anything from the ugoos.

Maybe the HDMI port of the tv was not on (enhanced) or whatever its called. Unless someone here has another idea?

Hi Everyone,

My AM6B+ is all setup with CE and running via eMMC in dual boot.

I want to temporarily, a few weeks, boot to Android as a default. Then return to its present condition with CE being the default.

What are my options?

TIA

So it has to be USB 3.0 OTG cable? I tried with USB 2.0, didn’t work, windows doesn’t recognize the device.
Could i use OTG adapter to do this? I don’t have OTG3.0 A-A cable near me where i live.
