Choose option 1 and everything will be copied over. No boot menu, CE will have boot priority. You can reboot to android from Kodi shutdown menu.
Try another usb stick.
thanks, that was easy! So if I select Reboot from eMMC/NAND from the Kodi power menu Iâll reboot directly to Android? And on the next reboot, Iâll come back to Kodi as itâs the default?
Thank you for your help, this solved the issue.
The next question i have is when it booted into Kodi, it asked me to install latest software which i did and it needed to reboot. However it keeps booting into Android , how do i set it to permanently boot into coreElec ?
Yes that is correct.
Did you install ugoos android/CE dual boot firmware.
I dont think so, i just used the method posted by Astrotrain at the beginning of the Thread.
If i remove usb it just boots into Android, even with USB inserted it boots into android.
Maybe i need to do the reset method again and change an option in CE ?
Sorry for so many questions, i appreciate you taking time to help
After initial CE install it should boot CE as long usb stick or sd card inserted.
Strange, i might try doing the reset installation again and see if that fixes it
Thanks working now
Hello All, new to the forum. I have just setup my AM6B plus and installed CE.
Looking for advice on what setting to enable and disable on the software\hardware side of things
Background is i have a Philips DV/DA MiniLed tv, JBL Bar Dolby Atmos soundbar. Ugoos is connected to soundbar and then feeds to the TV via arc. Also using a local hard drive for playing DV+DA movies .
What are the main things i need to change in the CE settings to get the best audio and video ?
I am interested in something about TVled option rather than Player led and the new FEL possibilities.
Also can someone point to me where i can find a skin or something so that when i open the local HD, the movie covers and details are displayed ?
FEL and player led naturally working. Follow this post and tweak to your liking:
Recommend installing latest nightly as well
Hi all,
I received and installed the Ugoos as mentioned above. But when starting DV files, it show the classic green/purple tint. The tv does show the DV flag. TV and the rest of the stack does support full DV playback as discs with DV are not an issue.
Hardware:
Panasonic OLED 55GZ950
Denon 3500h AVR
Working hdmi cables.
What did i already try:
- Remove AVR from stack
- Connect box straight to tv
Mediainfo output from random MKV with Dovi:
HDR format : Dolby Vision, Version 1.0, Profile 7.6, dvhe.07.06, BL+EL+RPU, no metadata
compression, Blu-ray compatible / SMPTE ST 2086, Version HDR10, HDR10 compatible
Device / OS info
CoreELEC (official): 21.0-Omega (Amlogic-ng.arm)
Machine model: UGOOS AM6B
CoreELEC dt-id: g12b_s922x_ugoos_am6b
Amlogic dt-id: g12b_AM6b_b4g
Debug log when playing movie:

Did i do something wrong?
Did you copy paste dovi.ko file at the root of the CE partition ?
Does this mean that Android on AM6b+ cannot be used at all without messing up CoreElec on uSD card? Can Android be used without consequences after removing uSD card with CE installation?
That Android installation is absolutely ancient and not even a proper Android TV one at that. Also I donât think it has proper Widevine support so youâd lose 4K playback on many streaming services.
It would have very little use that just about any cheap, certified ATV streaming stick would do a much better job at.
Yikes this is a massive overkill. You shouldnât need to go so far as to reset. Just fix file/directory ownership:
find /storage -user 1023 -exec chown root:root {} \;
Not sure the numerical UID that the default installation sets but it would be whatever the 1023 if thatâs not the one.
There is now an updated version with:
NOTE: This units has the latest 2024 Firmware updates!
Besides that there is a SlimBoxTV 54 ATV for encrypted and another for non-encrypted boxes
Btw, Android is not used only for streaming
Whatâs the difference with that 2024 model?
Nothing. There is literally no difference.
