Ey everyone, iām a little bit lostā¦ Iām running CPM on my Ugoos umb6plus. Everything running great, but i want to set the Dolby Vision section.
As everybody knows Samsung donāt support DV, how must the settings be?
You need to set to Player-Led (HDR) and then use the settings for your TV specs (colorspace, max and min luminance, etcā¦) or use the spreadsheet to define the VSVDB payload. Since you have a Samsung you can also set the HDR InfoFrame Metadata payload. Last but not least then you set what you want to be converted to DV as you desire which can be everything excluding HDR10+ conversion since your TV supports HDR10+.
Thanx for the explanationā¦ but iām confused about the tv specs with the luminance and the payload. Maybe i look to difficult to the spreadsheet.
As long as you know the TV spec values (colorspace, max and min lumance etcā¦) then you can use the screen settings selection and do not need use the spreadsheet. If you do not know your TV specs then you will need to find out to be able to set it correctly.

Hi, iām reading 2 days now a lot. But canāt get it together. What do you set in the VSVDB settings? Canāt find the information from my Samsung tv for this.
Iām having trouble installing the CPM build. Iām booting from emmc and when I put the tar in .update I get the following error: partition is too small for this updateā¦
Anyone knows what is going on?

Then install/ test cpm build

Guys, Iām experiencing an issue with the CPM build. When an episode finishes (SDR > DV), and the DV turns off, the next episode starts. The DV logo appears, but sometimes only the audio plays while the video is delayed or frozen for a few seconds and the skin restarts. Seems like less often when gui is set to 1080p 25hz then 60 or 120hz. Also when I had 4k gui then in middle of watching the video went black for 1s and back to dv logo. This disappeard when i switched to 1080p. Im ok with gui on 1080p but the smooth of 25hz is not that nice as 60 and above. Any idea how to fix it?
I managed to solve the issue, reinstalling on a clean build and directly updating using the USB drive. Then doing the copy to emmc.
does anyone know why CPM removed all his releases from github?

The tags link does not contain any installable .tar files, only source code, so not much use to most of us.

Correct, then pick something reasonable for the VSDB range like .02 nits - 800 nits. Depends on your TV capabilities.
