Everything is possible - just someone needs to do it.
From I read one of the issues is that buttons doesn’t work. And for this keyboard.xml or some other file needs adjustments.

It’s unfortunate that he has no more time to really contribute to the project. He seems really busy.
I know exactly who won’t
It’s not just buttons, sometimes it’s a black screen or a crash
It seems a bit counterproductive though to me? Would it not be better to work on incorporating the features of the cpm build rather than having to update it and maintain it to keep up with the changes in the nightly builds? I’m not a programmer though so I’ve maybe got that wrong.
As said multiple times, we asked cpm to work with us. He didn’t have the time. Evidently he has, he just doesn’t want to. His choice. We can’t work on incorporation them atm.
I think it’s also worth mentioning that CPM is testing some code related to passthrough A/V sync as well. It will be interesting to see if he has solved the sync-loss issues on his build, if he releases a new version. Testing - AV Sync Passthrough · cpm-code/xbmc@b7c9a18 · GitHub
He’ll just he incorporating the latest changes in the nightlies into his build.
It’s not worth mentioning in this thread. He doesn’t contribute to CoreELEC by is own choice, so no. Not worth mentioning outside the unsupported part of the forum.
Yes, this the reason we move it out.
I checked his commit and can’t see any sense of it.
It’s just not possible to cover any hardware setup by some auto correction.
It will need user tweaks.
For a real solution you will need a camera and microphone calibrated hardware setup and run calibration videos and measure real latency.
But for such hardware you will need to invest much more than most users invest in CE device…
Hi all, just moved to v11 CPM build on my AM6B+ (using guide for the device elsewhere on this forum), installed CPM skins, and things are generally good. However, I am a bit confused on how to configure the video playback options for my scenario - I am using a HDR-only JVC projector, and so what I’m really looking for is what options to set to a) best convert DV only video ->HDR as an option, and b) always default to using HDR when playing a dual DV/HDR video.
I’ve been trying to figure this out, but right now I’m still getting the weird purple-colored playback on some clips, and I’m sure it’s just because I don’t understand which option to set. I appreciate any tips you can share! Also, if this is not the right or approved place to get support help (I recognize that CPM builds are not part of CE directly), I appreciate being pointed in the right direction. Thank you!
VSVDB injection to solve both a and b.
There is zero reason to prefer HDR over DV when both are present, nor does that functionality exist. You will have to toggle off VSVDB injection entirely in those cases and the player will just use HDR base layer. But again, no reason. You are getting full player led DV with no tone mapping on HDR only panels using this method.
I just tried the dovi.ko from here on CE NO and I only get a blank screen.
Yes it is the HDR Adaptive setting that is the key.
Both your logs show you are testing cpm
So Team CoreELEC can not support/trouble shoot/debug.
Make a clean install CoreELEC. 4.9 (Non cpm)
Post in the appropriate thread for support.
Describe behavior/etc…
Paste dmesg…etc
Team CoreELEC Will have look !!!
Just want to let you know that I’m getting black screen in CPM A10 and A11 for a particular multiplexed file I made. I do not get black screen with A09 or the latest nightly. The file is Akira multiplexed with 4 video streams (Dynit 2019 HD, Crunchyroll 2022 4k, Funimation 2013 HD, Bandai 2009 HD), and a few audio (2009 Hypermix, 1988 2.0 Dolby surround, etc).
I’m not sure if it is at all related, but black screen appears to be a skin issue for some users and was recently fixed for them: Learning about Dolby Vision and CoreELEC development - #606 by doppingkoala
For now, I’m using the latest nighty or A09, depending on my needs. Sadly I cannot use A10 or A11.
I’d be happy to help diagnose the issue but would need guidance on how.
Thank you.
Would be completely unrelated. That update just relates to using the gui to manually embed the metadata. That approach isn’t used in any other builds but mine.
First you would need to share the file.
Also enable logging as in the issue reporting wiki. And then post the results here, so maybe someone will forward it to cpm. To clarify, the file has 4 switchable video streams? If so I doubt that cpm will want to bother with it as it’s a pretty limited use-case for this project. Btw is any of the streams DV, if so what DV mode are you using in settings?
Hey I’m new to this. I have everything set up but I don’t know what to put the for the Dolby Vision settings.
If you’re using stock CE, use the default DV settings, assuming your TV supports DV-std (most do).
I’m using cpm, what should i use for that?
