Hey everyone, where can I find a Little log file from which I can read the changes / improvements of the new CPM builds? Yesterday evening I updated the CPM a2 to a3.1 ā¦
On github I couldnāt find anythingā¦
I hope I ask after a log file which perhaps exists
I have exactly the same problem with DV P7 FEL movies-UGOOS AM6B+. Have choppy playback if I resumed the movie (not start it from 0:00) or skip within the movie.
UGOOS AM6B+ ā TV-TCL 75C855 ā Soundbar Samsung HW-Q950A
Dolby Vision is set to āon-demandā
Displey Led (DV-Std)
In addition to this, the latest nightly build has perfect playback (including FF/RW) when opening FEL moviesā BDMV/ISO via the index file or the mpls file. You might want to try that and see as well.
I tried the latest nightly build CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-21.1.1-Omega_nightly_20241007-Generic.img.
No improvement, I have choppy playback with DV P7 FEL movies.
ah OK thanks! all the time I thought the cpm tar file is some kind of specific upgrade to some filesā¦ the original installation file I wrote on an USB stick was more then 300mb?
anyway! Great! many thanks!! do you know how I get the nightly tar file? never saw one here in the forum?
I made an mistake I did not switch to latest stable before I installed cpm. so maybe I will do that sometime. for now I cannot find any issue with my setup
It doesnāt really matter if you first went to stable. A .tar is is basically a complete release except that you canāt use it to write an image from it to start from scratch. It will even update your dtb if necessary.
The only difference between an official nightly and the CPM builds is that the nightlies will auto-update (if enabled) and the CPM builds need to be updated manually.
Nightlies can be downloaded by clicking on the download icon at the top right of the forum page.
Iād suggest you first try to update your -ng version with CPM A.31 build, discussed here as it has more options to manipulate HDR to DV files, which are not present in official builds.
