hey , installed the update it just worked, thank you
Has anyone encountered a problem where P7 FEL files continuously trigger the Dolby Vision logo on TV. Almost as if HDMI sync is happening every second?
Just read @jinior has a similar experience. Did your TV constantly show Dolby Vision logo as if itâs switching every second?
What is the difference between A2 and the new A3.1?
I canât find any information about what was done differently?
Try whitelisting all the resolutions above 1080p, Kodi by default outputs video at double the refresh rate which causes the flashing logo on some tvs.
I whitelisted everything, including 480p but still see the same issue. I turned off double refresh rate because my LG C3 supports all frame rates. Whats frustrating is that it only happens in some video files, not all of them.
Can you make a clean install of the main -ng, make a log, and post a sample of the problem file in the NG thread?
A3.1 Corrects for issue in A3 with Player Process Info.
What is your setup? My CX connected over eARC to a soundbar was converting the audio and constantly triggering the DV logo. I had to disable True-HD passthru and let Kodi process the audio. The same movie worked perfectly with eARC to a receiver that supports True-HD.
Setup:
Ugoos ----[HDMI]----- LGC3 â[Optical=s/pdif]---- 5.1 CH DD Logitech.
I wanted to let the TV handle audio conversion so I have all passthrough enabled.
No benefit of letting the tv handle the audio with your setup.
@rome1931 Thank you!!! This fixed my issue of triggering DV logo [Turning off TrueHD and DTS-HD]. Now my issue has changed to DV stutters a bit at the beginning of the movie for a minute or so then stabilizes and works just fine afterwards. I can live with that because it only happens for the first minute.
You might have to adjust the setting
Delay after change of refresh rate
Optimal delays for my setup
GUI @ 4K delay is 1.6 sec.
GUI @ 1080P delay is 1.4 sec.
1.4 seconds did it!
@rome1931 When you play a TrueHD audio file do you get any output? If I do HDMI Multi Ch PCM I get sound on my speaker but otherwise its just quiet. Am I missing a setting of how to conver TrueHD to DD on Kodi? Any PCM settings cause speaker crackling.
something is off with tv led dv when playing p5 files, is very low brightness, even the highlights look bellow 100nits (dont have a way to measure) p7 and p8 dont suffer, selecting player led or vs10 fixes the brightness,
the same p5 files normal on my tvs player, do you need logs ?
also what vs10 is supposed to do? looks like player led (asking out of curiosity)
S/PDIF will not handle uncompressed DD True-HD, only standard DD 5.1 or DTS. Let Kodi convert the True-HD to LPCM in your setup.
Iâm using player-led dolby vision with an HDRInfoFrame insertion on a Samsung TV that does not officially support dolby vision, so I wouldnât know.
Are you sure the file youâre playing has highlights brighter than 100nits? Itâs possible that itâs working fine but the creators intent was for the file not to be bright.
yes it looks way to dark only on tv led , the same file on source looks fine, and on my tv internal player
Yes, but not working correctly as I get audio but no dialog.
Just curious, isnât enabling AC3/DTS passthrough + AC3 transcoding on kodi the only way to get discrete surround channels in this kind of setup? Doesnât seem like the C3 does any sort of transcoding from MultiCh. PCM/TrueHD/DTSHD to DD on the flyâŚ
