Yeah thats nice to check whilst running - but nice to have in the library as well wondering if there is a way for additional custom icons / tags in Jellyfin.
Or an android app that could show this info for files in an smb share would be interesting 
So I got the Homatics box today, looks very nice.
Do I need to add the dovi file as on the AM6B box to get DV working?
Or is it working automatically once CE is installed?

Depends on which CE versions you plan to install: -ne does not need it, but -ng needs it and not the same version that is used for AM6B box, but a smaller one, version for S905x4 boxes; find it HERE.

Just got the box but projector just says “No signal, not supported” but all other devices works, ps4, switch etc.
Hi, i prepared the USB stick accoring to the instructions. Since i will be using the reset button method, will that effect in any way my Android setup? If i want to use android i just need to remove the USB stick and it would be as before? I have the latest publicly available beta installed (6853) - will that be an issue for the install of CoreElec?
Some skins have an option to reboot to android directly, some don’t so you use a kodi app reboottoandroidtv Reboot to CoreELEC APK - #26 by Portisch

I just read the link you posted, and it says
The s905x4 needs to be running CE-NG to use this dovi.ko for DV FEL playback. DV FEL is NOT supported in CE-NE.
So DV Fel is not supported in NE version which is the one I have, also the one from frontpage
Right, you need the version from that link, and follow instructions.
Additionally you can try a version from @cpm, from this topic, which is not officially supported, but which brings into play more useful Dolby Vision options.

What would be the biggest downside of using the Android OS with Kodi installed from the store compared to CE? Android OS is heavy and CE is light?
you won’t be able to playback HD audio or DV FEL, Kodi on Android is not an option.
Where can I find a Stable NG version for this box? Is it only the nightlys that is available?
Nightly is best for Homatics for dtb and Ethernet fixes.
Anyone particular you suggest for me to use?
I experience the box to not be very stable with the NE version for some reason so would like to try the NG version instead

I’m using ce-21 ne and have been using it for a while. Dolby Vision Profile 5 files no longer seem to work, although I’m pretty sure they did in the past. It might have started with 21.1.1, or maybe I messed up a setting. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?
My Sony TV switches to Dolby Vision mode, but the colours stay green and purple.
I got the latest nightly 20240928 but it has the same issue
I tried the same media in MPV and it plays back fine. Other DV files play fine. The TV switches to DV mode correctly when I start this file.
It seems to be specific to Profile 5 MKV. Playing a Profile 5 MP4 sample from the Kodi samples page also works fine.
