I have a Nokia 8010 and can test later this week.
Hi vpeter
I use this command to mount android data partition, but it returns error:
CoreELEC:~ # mount /dev/userdata /media/data/
mount: /var/media/data: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/userdata, missing codepage or helper program, or other error.
dmesg(1) may have more information after failed mount system call.
dmesg shows:
[ 365.073246@1]- UDF-fs: warning (device mmcblk0p29): udf_fill_super: No partition found (2)
Do you have any idea what happened? FS is not supported by kernel?
Just want to be clear that I am very new to CE.
I am using the latest generic nightly CE-NG with the dovi.ko file. I tried the stable release for 21.1.1 but had the issues so I decided to try the nightly build. Still no luck. Whenever I play any DV FEL media, it stutters a ton and the audio comes completely out of sync. Has anyone else had this issue? DV MEL plays fine. I am starting the playback by selecting index.bdmv.
I do want want mention I am using a local network share from my NAS.
This seems to only happen if I resume playing at a certain spot in the movie or seek through it.
Ethernet or wifi? Try switching to the other
Follow config in this post for chunk size and caching:
I just tried all of that and tried an external hard drive and still the same issue. Whenever I seek or resume, it just stutters and black screens multiple times.
Can you share your current setup? I only had my test done by having it plugged directly into TV (Cube 2nd Gen → Hisense U60GS) and playback thru index.bdmv works fine even with FF/RW in latest nightly. I did mention that it re-triggers DV whenever you press FF/RW as well.
Someone mentioned it might be related to using a receiver/soundbar which I’ll try on my HT later today. Might just be difference in device (S905X4 vs S922Z) but the other person having issues was using a AM6B+ so probably not that either…
I saw the post about that. I have it set Dune HD → LG C3 → audio passes through eARC to AVR. I first had the Dune HD plugged into the AVR and it was giving the same problem.
The only way I can seek through a movie is to go into the Blu-ray menu and select a chapter. Resuming and FF/RW still doesn’t work.
Just retried it on my HT setup. Cube 2nd Gen → Onkyo RZ50 → LG C1. BDMV playback (the folder) thru index.bdmv worked fine with no stutters for me as well, even when I FF/RW. This is with audio passthrough (TrueHD Atmos). I use an SMB share over wifi to access.
My install runs on a flash drive with the emmc install mod. Even for a nightly I had to do this because my flash drive has horrible random reads/writes.
Besides that, if the install was not the issue, I’m afraid you’ll need to post a log for the devs to check. We do have different devices after all. Hope this gets sorted out for you.
Just installed 21.1.1 omega 20241009 , i moved the dovi.ko to storage and i get the dv option in settings but dv files play in hdr , i read above that the dv is temporary removed after 23/8 version but i cannot find a way to download older ones, first time user of coreelec ,witch version should i get for dv playback especially p7, and how do i go to older releases the download page only has new ones
btw im on atv12 latest, dv is enabled on android and in settings
Which version of CE did you install . -ng or -ne? There is no P7_FEL in -ne version.
For -ng version did you follow carefully all steps in installation instructions from here ?
the latest ng , is not just p7 it doesnt do dv at all even tho there is a setting for dv and its enabled, i did follow the steps but i moved the dovi.ko file before the install in the usb root and after to the storage folder, just to make sure, the specific version i installed is
CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-21.1.1-Omega_nightly_20241009-Generic.img
failed to paste logs.
is there a different way to get the log out?
What does it say under System Information → Video → Display supported HDR types?
This is a log from me resuming and seeking a chapter in a FEL movie. If I resume in the middle of the movie or seek, it just keeps going to black screen in a loop. I don’t see anything odd in the log but maybe someone else will.
Do you know if a 3rd gen Cube works with this?
Usually when this happens, it means the debug log file has exceeded the allowed upload limit. I’m not sure of the actual number, maybe around 2MB?
When this happens, I’m not aware of any workaround besides running SSH commands to copy the log file out of the device then manually uploading it somewhere. But what I usually do is “Power Menu>Restart Kodi”, proceed to replicate the issue with the least amount of actions, then stop and upload the logs, otherwise you risk the log size being too big to be uploaded…
afaik the 3rd Gen Cube can’t run CE yet because full bootloader unlock/root has not been found.
