My Homatics R4K is ATV11. Can I simply install CE-ng and copy the dovi file from the first post and get working DV? Or do I need to update to newer ATV version and use some different file which I can see being referenced a few posts ago. Please guide.
Thats depend, which ATV11 version have you.
it will work, I recommend updating to latest Android 12 7954.
use that form and choose latest Android 12 and you will get it OTA.
Its ATV v11.8.6261
WRT update to v12, I opened the link in the post above. Mine is a Dune branded Homatics. How to deal with that?
even easier, download this file (it’s for the Dune version) put it on usb, connect usb to box and go to recovery menu and update from there.

Hi, I just ordered my Homatics box. My plan is to upgrade to the latest ATV 12 and just use CE-NG forever.
My question is, for the best DV picture quality, on a modern LG OLED (G2), what build should I do?

I have a little problem, after the update to 12.8.7954 my tone is very quiet.
Need to set the volume to 23, before was 9/10 enough.
In Coreelec is it ok. cant find a way to fix it. factory reset didnt help.
Netflix is the same, need to set volumen to 23.
If i use kodi without coreelec or change to Coreelec.
Then the Volume buuummm :D, need to set down to 9.
Audio goes passthrought to a Samsung HW-Q995 Soundbar.
Made a revised version of the homatics leds addon. Retains the entire functionality present on the current addon in the repositories and adds an automatic detection for video playing. Turns the LEDs off while video playing, returns them to the previously set state when playback stops/pauses.
To install it, ssh into the box, go to /storage/.kodi/addons/service.homatics-leds/ and replace the contents of service.py with the code in this pastebin
If anyone wants to upload it to the official repositories, feel free.

Hello there. The issue is a known complaint for this build, but not CE related at all, so you should ask on this at another place to get a more detailed answer. If it’s a original Homatics device, their Telegram support group for one.

I’ve bought the Xiaomi TV Box 3rd gen to watch remuxed movies, but ones with TrueHD or DTS-HD soundtrack don’t play sound on Kodi (only VLC, but then I’m not sure if it passes full format). I’m still within the return window.
I’ve seen the Homatics 4k Plus mentioned a few times as a box that supports all formats - can I install CoreELEC on it and dual boot so that I can still use some apps installed via .apk or Play Store?
Yes Homatics Box R 4K Plus / DuneHD R 4K Plus / Nokia 8010 / Rocktek G2 are all Google certified and can dual boot CoreELEC.
They are all clones of each other running the same AndroidTV firmware for the most part, with slightly different hardware options (IR receiver, SDcard slot)
What are the known issues or limitations with the NE and NO releases for this BOX so far? I read somewhere about issues with subtitles, but I can’t remember what it was about.

Tried with different cable, different computer, they not recognize the box. First I need to push the button, and with the push I need to connect the cable, right?

I use CE NE build. But the box if I send it to sleep, never come back. It looks like disable the USB 3.0 port.
