Homatics Box R 4K Plus

Homatics Box R 4k Plus - ATV14
I can’t get CE to run via usb does anyone have any advice ???
I did the same as in the guide, tried both usb ports via reset and no CE loads ???

this is displayed: Fastboot - Press reset again to enter recovery mode

if you press the reset button at the bottom of the usb 3.0 port this appears:

I don’t know what to do now please help

Are you seeing this right after upgrading to ATV14?

Search the forum for Homatics, USB and modifiy. USB get powered off on suspend. Use power off.

yes , I don’t know what to do now please help

It’s bug with ATV12 or with CE NE? Before then it’s worked with ATV14 and CE NG fine. Or should i downgrade it to ATV11 or should I upgrade it to latest ATV12 beta?

You should downgrade to ATV12. ATV14 work only with CE NG or with CE NO. CE NE work only with ATV11 or ATV12.

Try issuing the ADB command reboot update from ATV. Or use this app, which issues that command for you.

CE NE no work with ATV14 and no work with App Boot to Coreelec 5.0 from jamal

But CE-NG work goid on ATV 14 , and jamal’s Reboot to CE also work oroperly on ATV 14 , when bootet in CE-NG

With CE-NG under ATV14, FEL will stutter. ATV12 works fine with FEL.

Am I blind or is there no option anywhere for HDMI range (Limited/Full)?

Has anybody ran into an intermittent boot loop with the Homatics Box R 4k Plus?

I have CoreELEC set up on a USB drive. When removing the drive, I can boot into Android TV with no issues. With the drive and trying to boot into CoreELEC, sometimes I get:

  1. Homatics splash screen for a few minutes
  2. it ‘restarts’
  3. Homatics splash screen again
  4. etc. until maybe it’ll eventually boot

If I leave it alone for ~10-20 minutes eventually it seems to boot and I’ll get into Kodi, but this is getting really annoying.

Any ideas if there’d be any logs anywhere I could take a look at?

Updates:

  • tried checking if it was something wrong with the usb drive - no issues with fsck, read speed tests, or plugging into other devices
  • tried looking for logs, but when it’s boot looping there are no new files on the usb drive
  • was probably wrong about it eventually booting, I’ve had it stuck looping for a few hours, then unplugged + replugged and finally got in, but now I’m stuck looping again

Ended up installing the latest nightly Amlogic-ng build to that same drive and now things are working again.

Bad usb drive. Try different one…

Just a shot in the dark but are you by any chance mounting a share/drive in autostart.sh?

Could be, but it’s a new expensive Samsung USB drive and it works just fine if I plug it into any other device. Don’t have any other nice ones handy.

Ran fsck on both partitions, no issues detected. Using dd to do a quick speed test, I can read at > 100 MB/s from it just fine.

Don’t think so - I haven’t manually modified that file or anything.

Hello,
I’m trying to install COREelec on my Nokia Box 8010. It just isn’t working. I’ve downloaded the latest nightly version. When it starts, I can’t do anything, and the remote control isn’t recognized either. Can someone give me a quick guide on what exactly I need to do?

You have a couple of options:

  1. Download remote.conf from here and put it in the root of your SD card. This should allow you to use the remote through IR.
  2. Enable CEC on your TV and/or receiver so you can use your TV’s remote.
  3. Connect a USB keyboard.

Once you have control, you can then pair the remote through bluetooth.

I don’t think that remote.conf will work for his Nokia remote, it is not really comparable with the Homatics/Dune B21/B25.

Maybe in here; [Nokia 8010] scanned remote buttons, [SSH] ir-keytable command issue

Thanks, remote is now working.
When starting up the image is green, see photo. Still running latest nightly.
