Maybe because this is not another’s build forum. No support provided here.

Dolby Vision support gone after installing NG 21.3
It worked only once when I downgraded to NG 21.2 but DoVi settings disappeared after reboot and noy coming back. ”dovi.ko” file is still in root next to “img” file but I cannot get DoVi work again.

Any suggestions?

Can anyone share his remote.xml file for remote in ir mode

Usually i use my file since many years

I don’t get why with keymap editor i get the same code for red, blue etc button while in android is not the same code

edit: just tried again the problem seems to be only with coloure button…same code 61952 for all 4 colors

I have the same problem with color codes in my remote.xml for the Arcam remote. Everything works as coded in the file, but the color codes have the same value. As a workaround i map the color keys to keys F1-F4 in my file. So i can map them in keymap editor to the desired function.

This problem is with CE 21.2 NG and with CE 21.3 NG on my Ugoos AM6B+. I don’t know if this is also a problem in CE 22 or older NG versions.

Sorry i don’t understand what you have done, can you please share your xml?

This remote is only for my remote from the Arcam receiver. So you have to change the lines for the color keys in your remote.conf, and they generate F1-F4 if you press a color key.

For example, in this line you must replace 0x1c with the code from your remote.conf:

0x1c 59	# KEY_F1, remote key RED, Dummy for mapping

remote.conf (3.5 KB)

Thank you, i will try to learn how to edit

Anybody else had issues with this? (no dolby vision with NG 21.3)

Edit: nevermind, turns out I’m on NG 21.3 already and dolby vision and FEL work fine.

Sorry semiot but i’m new in 4k world…it’s normal that

So who is correct ? 4:4:4 i know is better but source file is not 4:2:0 ? It’s correct for coreelec 4:4:4 ?

How can I fix mine then, no configuration change but DV gone?

Additionally, does this box can play lossless sound formats after Android 12 without CoreELEC?

Are you sure you are looking for DV options while connected to a DV display?

I suggest to turn on The DV-enabled display first and wait till it’s completely booted. Then connect it to Coreelec.

I don’t know how to fix your situation, sorry. And I don’t know/remember the version of android I have installed now, I only use the box for coreelec. But whatever android version I had when I first installed coreelec, was not able to passthrough all the HD/lossless codecs to the receiver. Coreelec made all that possible and I’m grateful for that.

Starting from scratch might work for you..

I’m also interested in ways to quickly recover all the settings after making a clean install of coreelec

Hi, I am using NG 21.3 on an Androidbox that came with ATV 14 and I can see the dovi options. I do not have any other add-ons or skins. However, when I play FEL movies, I see so much stutter that they are unwatchable. Any other movies seem to work fine.

My Setup, Homatics Box —> HDMI —> Samsung HW-Q995D Soundbar —> HDMI eARC —> LG G4 TV

Here are my logs: https://paste.coreelec.org/puppetsexpose

I did try the latest NG nightly as well and had similar results. However, I didn’t test it as extensively. Has anyone been successful with NG 21.3?
If anyone was successful in playing FEL movies, please do share your CE-NG version. I can test and report my results to you.

  • Connect directly to TV and use eARC
  • Try local media

Also, this probably isn’t the case for you, but the first time I watched a FEL movie, I also didn’t like the way it’s displayed. But that was because the tv, LG C1 disables some of the motion smoothing settings with FEL. And the change of frames is just too harsh for me on an OLED tv without smoothing..

My TV has only 1 eARC port. If, I use it for the homatics box, I will lose ATMOS on the soundbar.

I did think of local media as I read that jellyfin streaming which is through SMB takes about 5-10% CPU. However, I see CPU usage of around 150%-170%. So even playing local media won’t cut it.

No, the TV will “passthrough” all sound through the eARC port to the soundbar from any HDMI port input.
